Geng Jianxiu, a native of Gengtang Village, Xiaotun Town, Ruzhou, Henan, loves the art of calligraphy and painting and has profound artistic achievements. Later, he entered the Xu Beihong Art College of Chinese Min University for further study.

In 2021, he was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award of Chinese Calligraphy, and the Ministry of Culture awarded the Outstanding Calligrapher of the Year in 2021.
