Sangzhi is "the hometown of Chinese folk songs" and "the hometown of Chinese folk culture and art", sangzhi folk songs originated from the songs of the daily production and life of the ancestors in the primitive farming period, and are the folk music culture varieties created, sung and accumulated by the people of Sangzhi County in the long-term life practice, which has a history of more than 2,000 years. Mulberry folk songs have bright rhythms, beautiful melodies, rich tunes and diverse forms. On May 20, 2006, Sangzhi folk songs were approved by the State Council of the People's Republic of China to be included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list. According to preliminary statistics, there are more than 10,000 mulberry folk songs collected and sorted out, and it also covers flower lanterns, labor trumpets, minor keys and so on.
"Thank you for having such a stage to perform on the same stage. The representative teams participating in this event all performed very well, and everyone competed in terms of formation, costume and stage performance. The event was a success and boosted the confidence of the people of our county and the vast number of women compatriots. Su Man, the management office of the Badagongshan National Nature Reserve in Hunan, who participated in the competition, said that he hoped that Sangzhi County would hold more activities to improve the status of women.
Sangzhi County will continue to inherit and develop Sangzhi folk songs, cultivate a group of outstanding inheritors of national music and culture, carefully build a platform for the exchange and inheritance of folk songs, and launch a number of loud national music and culture fixed programs. At the same time, we will further strengthen the integration of culture and tourism, through in-depth exploration, the transformation of new concepts, the integration of multiple channels, the all-round packaging, coupled with the huge effect of new media, the excellent mulberry folk song resources will be built into cultural boutiques, and become a bright external business card of sangzhi.
