Tang Dynasty calligrapher Lin Zaoxing cursive "Deep Comfort Post".

Lin Zao was the elite of the ancient literati of Putian who went to the Central Plains, and his literary and calligraphy reputation has long been poured into the government and the opposition, and the twenty volumes of the Xuanhe Book Genealogy personally compiled by Emperor Huizong of song and The twenty volumes of the "Xuanhe Book Genealogy" compiled by Emperor Huizong of the Song Dynasty, as well as the calligraphy classic "Book History Huijiao" edited by Tao Zongyi in the Ming Dynasty, all gave Lin Zao's "Deep Comfort Post" a very high evaluation.

Putian Lin Clan Jiu Mu Zhi Lin Zao, with great ambition, sensitive and studious, in the early years with Ouyang Zhan to create the "Fuping Shutang" at the foot of the Zixiao Mountain, and then walked into Beijing to take the exam, Tang Dezong Zhenyuan seven years (791) in the seventh year (791) examination in the third place. The Great Dictionary of Chinese Writers and the Five Dynasties of the Tang Dynasty says: "The Putian people ascended to the throne of the Shidi, starting from the algae."

The Xuanhe Book Genealogy commented: "There are three hundred years of Tang Dynasty, and the writer is particularly prosperous, although it has been through the generations, its writing is also considerable." Gai Tang people's calligraphy, since Emperor Taizong built the Hongwenguan as a place of upbringing, for a while the practice was still prosperous, and the scholars who came after them had their own achievements according to what they learned, such as Zaozhi Yu Zhiyong. ”

Chinese calligraphy to the Wei and Jin dynasties of great changes, especially the Jin people to change the partial edge of the Han Eight Points and Qin Li to change the present subordinate is more majestic and thick, the writing is light and heavy, the thickness of the change, appears to be beautiful and flying, the Southern Dynasty from Liu Yu Dynasty Jin, through the Song Qi Liang Chen four dynasties, social stability, economic prosperity, the government and the public to be good at calligraphy as the glory, at that time, Shanyin Yongxin Temple monk Zhi Yongxue Wang Xizhi and the Law, "a word can be worth fifty thousand."

The "History of Tang Dynasty" contains: The Initial Rongzhou Branch Envoy, the Imperial Attendant in the Qiandian Temple, the Lingnan Jiedu Envoy, and the Final Jiangling Assassination History. There are miscellaneous manuscripts passed down from generation to generation, the best cursive writing, the rebellion of the Hu chieftain, the shedding does not exist, only the "Deep Consolation Post" is collected in the score, the daya gentleman, called it gentle and fengyan, and the monk Zhiyong pen Fayun".

Lin Zao first learned Yan Zhenqing's calligraphy, formed his own style of Xiao Shu's ancient and ancient style, and then learned the zhiyong xingshu. Looking at LinZao's "Deep Consolation Post", it does have the grace and abundance of Zhiyong, but it is also quite a strong change of fiber, which should be the characteristic of the Tang Dynasty's inheritance of Wei and Jin calligraphy and gradually evolved into Tang calligraphy.

According to legend, Lin Zao's "Deep Consolation Post" was originally hidden in the Imperial Palace of the Song Dynasty, in the Ming Dynasty, and was hidden by the traitor Yan Song, who was defeated and raided his home, and was also obtained by the Ming Jiajing Emperor. The calligraphers Wen Zhengming and Dong Qichang successively engraved their posts in the book, and then did not know the end. The year of birth and death is unknown, the character WeiQian, nicknamed Suinu, was a native of Putian County, Fujian Province. In the fourth year of Tang Zhenyuan (788 AD), dengming jingdi. In the seventh year (791 AD), he was the first jinshi of Minju. There are few Qizhi, hard work, and reading in the Lingyan Jingsha. He was initially appointed as an envoy from Rong Prefecture (present-day Beiliu, Guangxi), and was appointed as an envoy to Lingnan Jiedushi and an envoy to Zhongjiangling Province (present-day Jiangling, Hubei). Lin Zao and his brother Lin Yun were both known for their good books and became famous calligraphers and writers during the Tang Dynasty.

Lin Zao's calligraphy yan Zhenqing, especially good at writing, is extremely wise and eternal, the pen is sparse and ancient, the meaning is deep and ancient, and his books are mixed in the Wei and Jin calligraphy art forest; it is difficult to distinguish between true and false. There is a "Deep Consolation Post" passed down from generation to generation. At the beginning of the Ming Dynasty, Tao Zongyi said in the "Book History Society": "Lin Zao xingshu, gentle and fengyan, in and out of the realm of Zhiyong. ”

Lin Zao's calligraphy is not as good as the xiuyan qi of Yu Shinan, Chu Suiliang and others, while the calligraphy of Yang Ning, whose calligraphy is praised in the book reviews of predecessors, is praised for his calligraphy art. His poems are included in the Quan Tang Poems.

"Deep Comfort Post" is a grass banner, and the whole work is beautiful and stretched, and the atmosphere is through. His handwriting is mainly based on the face body, which blends into the charm of the families, and the ink color is thick. In the broad, there is no lack of grandeur.

Its use of pen is fine, the pen is excellent and not stagnant, and it can withstand pickiness or scrutiny. The pen is characterized by euphemism and roundness, the lines are mostly curved, and the variation is impermanent, there are square pens, there are round pens, the lines are smooth, the pen is raised with a sense of rhythm, the center is tapped, the flanking is taken, and the ink rhyme is strengthened. For complicated words, he lightly brushed it down, meant to be followed, and it was as thin as silk.

In the use of ink, according to the characteristics of the glyphs and the performance needs of the chapter, it is thick or light, light or heavy, and strives to create a natural rhyme. The layout of his works is interesting, not a mechanical arrangement, but a left and right oblique, between the top and the bottom, sometimes next to each other, sometimes pulled apart and truncated. However, the pen can be broken, the silk is interlocked, and the overall chapter is very flexible and cheerful, elegant and ethereal, and the spirit is soaring.

"Deep Comfort Post" was included by Dong Qichang in the "Xihongtang Group Post".

Lin Zaoxing's cursive book "Deep Comfort Post" is super clear to appreciate
