When she was selected to play the heroine of the dance drama "Crested Ibis", Zhu Jiejing was 30 years old. From "Swan Lake" to "Spirit of the Sparrow" to "Crested Ibis", how to become that bird has always been a challenge for dancers. Tong Ruirui, the choreographer of "Crested Ibis", is not only Zhu Jiejing's long body and slender and soft arms, but also her increasingly mature heart and increasingly strong stage tension.
Zhu Jiejing likes the second act of "Swan Lake" and has repeatedly watched videos of world-class ballet companies, and Yang Liping, who has created the classic peacock image, is her idol. Compared with swans and peacocks, the crested ibises are not well known, and the image is more low-key, Zhu Jiejing has no bottom in her heart: Can she play such a bird well? Can it be liked by the audience?
In the 1980s, the crested ibises were nearly extinct in Japan. In Yang County, Shaanxi Province, Chinese scientists found the last seven crested ibises and multiplied them. Zhu Jiejing once went to Sado, the hometown of the crested ibis, Japan, to see how the crested ibises drink water, how to forage, how to fly, how to tickle, return to the practice room, and then use their limbs to explore the language of the crested ibises little by little, transforming layer by layer, and pursuing the realm of both form and god. "It's not about imitation, you have to dance with your brain, you have to dance with your heart."
In Sado, Zhu Jiejing has long stared at a specimen of a crested ibis in a glass frame, which is "Japan's last crested ibis" Akin. When Akin died, flags were lowered to half-mast throughout Japan, and a book was published, "The Last Words of the Crested Ibis," which tells the story of Akin.
When the people who watched the crested ibis specimen dispersed, only Zhu Jiejing and Ah Jin were left in the room. She approached it cautiously, staring at it. For a moment it was as if the air had stopped, and I had an illusion, as if Akin's eyes had moved. An actor, when you really believe in and conquer your character, the character will be obedient. I seem to hear Akin speaking to me through the glass, saying that my race has perished and that humanity has taken my world away, but I don't hate you. I can't fly anymore, and I chose you to be my wing and tell my story to the whole world. ”
The scene was finally recreated on stage. At the end of the dance drama "Crested Ibis", Zhu Jiejing incarnated as Akin and was displayed in a glass window. When the lights come on, the "Jun" played by partner Wang Jiajun slowly walks towards her and looks at her, and her tears will always come out of her eyes.

"It's all daily life actions, such as opening the lid of the pot to wipe the water on the lid, such as the fingers being burned and quickly touching the ears, such as the soup pot smelling the aroma... There was a sitting motion, and we sat like that in the rehearsal hall for three days. Look at how many scratches there are on the glue, how many small bugs crawl over, showing the boredom of the Shanghai women at that time waiting for their husbands to return after doing housework. Now women walk in a hurry, but at that time, Shanghai women were very slow. When you bring these details of ordinary life to the stage, you will find a beauty of the passage of time. ”
Because of her nostalgia for the stage, Zhu Jiejing gets up earlier than others every day to press her legs, and she has to work out for half an hour more than others, which is the weight she must bear behind the brilliance on the stage.
