Recently, we learned from land rover officials that the new generation of Land Rover flagship models officially opened pre-sale, and the new car was first launched with two special edition models, namely the 3.0T Range Rover Model Extended Edition and the 4.4T Range Rover Premiere Edition, with a pre-sale price range of 209.88-251.88 million yuan. The new car will be officially unveiled on March 29 and the price range will be announced, after which it will be officially launched at the Beijing Auto Show.
The new generation of Range Rover is based on the MLA-FLEX platform to create, from the appearance point of view, the appearance of the new generation of models has not been subversively adjusted, but the proportion of headlights and grilles has been adjusted, with a more neat lower grille shape, creating a more compact and concise visual effect, making it look more in line with the aesthetics of current consumers.
The side of the body still continues the elegant body shape of the Range Rover, the overall line is smooth and full of power, a waist line runs through the head and tail, and elements such as the sunken roof and the recognizable inclined D-pillar are retained. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the standard wheelbase version are 5052*2047*1870mm, and the wheelbase is 2997mm, while the length, width and height of the long-wheelbase version are 5252*2047*1870mm, and the wheelbase is 3197mm.
The changes in the rear part of the car are very obvious, but also there is a big controversy, the tail lights have become vertical style, and connected to the trim through the tail, and the middle area is inlaid with the brand "RANGE ROVER". The overall feel of the rear is stronger, but it seems to have less of the aura that the Range Rover should have.
In terms of interior, the new generation of Range Rover uses the latest family design, the overall simplicity and clarity, the use of simple lines, with a large size of the central control screen and LCD instruments, just right to outline the sense of technology and luxury in the car. In terms of materials, in addition to the conventional wood and chrome materials, the new car also uses a new leather fabric jointly developed by Kvadrat and Land Rover, which is lighter and more environmentally friendly. The machine is equipped with the latest InControl OS 2.0 infotainment system, more than 70 electronic modules can be upgraded with SOTA, and the new car also supports remote parking, allowing users to control the car's access to the parking space through a smartphone outside the car.
In terms of power, the 3.0T Range Rover Model Extended Edition is a P400 model, equipped with a 3.0L dual-supercharged inline six-cylinder engine and matched with a 48V light hybrid system, with a maximum power of 294kW (400 hp) and a maximum torque of 550Nm. The 4.4T Range Rover Premiere Version, powered by a 4.4L V8 twin-turbo engine, has a maximum power of 390 kW (530 hp) and a maximum torque of 750 Nm. At the same time, the new generation of Range Rover Series is equipped with four-wheel steering system, electronic air suspension system and active rear electronic differential lock and torque vectoring system, while the Range Rover Model Extended Edition model is also upgraded to adjustable dynamic mode and all-terrain mode.
