On the afternoon of September 2, Liu Jie, director of the Management Committee of East Lake High-tech Zone, went to Optics Valley No. 1 Primary School and Huashi No. 1 Affiliated Middle School Optics Valley Branch to inspect and investigate the opening of primary and secondary schools in the high-tech zone in the fall of 2021. She demanded that the high-quality education resources of the Optics Valley be planned as a whole, the supply be increased, and the high-quality education be used to promote the high-quality economic and social development of the high-tech zone.
Optics Valley Is the first primary school named "Optics Valley" in the high-tech zone, covering an area of 28,000 square meters, with 77 existing teaching classes, 4,043 students and 230 teachers; Huashi Yifu Middle School Optics Valley Branch was founded in 2016, is a primary school, junior high school, high school 12-year consistent private boarding school, campus building area of about 175,000 square meters, the existing students about 5,600 people.
At the scene, Liu Jie and his party inspected the campus environment and facilities, visited and comforted the teachers and student representatives, and extended cordial greetings. She encouraged the school to do a good job in teaching organization and management, cultivate famous teachers, create famous schools, do a good job in normalizing epidemic prevention and control, campus safety, etc., and create a good learning environment for students. Relevant departments should do a good job in epidemic prevention, transportation, safety, construction and other aspects, focus on solving the difficulties encountered by schools in running schools, and ensure the safe and stable operation of campuses.

On September 1, all 132 kindergartens and 48 primary and secondary schools in the high-tech zone opened, and the total number of people in kindergartens and schools reached 128,000, an increase of 12,800 over the same period last year, an increase of 11.1%. In the past five years, the high-tech zone has continuously increased the construction of schools, completed and put into use 15 new schools, promoted the renovation and expansion of 21 projects, and recruited and introduced 2142 new teachers.

Liu Jie pointed out that high-quality education is an important guarantee for the high-tech zone to enhance the business environment and improve the well-being of the people's livelihood, and it is necessary to actively coordinate and promote the implementation of the education layout plan, accelerate the progress of school construction, rationally allocate educational resources, and at the same time strengthen the modern education governance system and governance capacity building, continuously improve the quality of education level, promote the high-quality economic and social development of the high-tech zone, and contribute to the construction of the innovation optics valley, the rich and strong optics valley, and the beautiful optics valley.
