The five core models of the MINI series have simultaneously launched special edition models - MINI RESOLUTE Obsessed Special Edition, MINI CLUBMAN UNTOLD Free Special Edition, MINI COUNTRYMAN UNTAMED Uninhibited Special Edition. All new cars will debut at the 2022 Beijing Auto Show and officially land in the Chinese market in the first half of the year.
The MINI three-door version and the MINI five-door version are known for their "small size and large space". The MINI CABRIO, the only convertible model in the high-end compact car segment, has a more tense appearance.
In terms of appearance, the MINI RESOLUTE Obsessive Special Edition further reinforces the iconic aesthetic design of the MINI model on the basis of tradition. The retro green paint previously exclusively designed for family racing driver MINI JOHN COOPER WORKS was used for the first time on the MINI Three-Door/Five-Door/CABRIO RESOLUTE Obsession Special Edition, and the bold green color further highlights the strength of the body and pays tribute to the legendary racing history of MINI. Based on sustainability considerations, chrome-plated components are no longer used on the body. Exclusive Resolute copper design is as far as the eye can see: headlights, grilles, front panel frames, door handles, fuel tank covers and rear lights. The hood pull strip and welcome pedal are presented in a gradient combination of parallel lines and break the traditional symmetry, with the word "RESOLUTE" printed only on one side. On the Cooper S engine version of the Special Edition model, the grille inner frame, intake grille blades, MINI branding and exhaust tailpipe trim are all designed in piano black. Mini three-door/five-door ESSENCE Obsessive Special Edition with black stripes around the lower edge of the window. The 18-inch black pulsed seven-spoke alloy wheels exude sporty personality.
Inside, the new light check design of the sports seats uses 100% recycled material. In addition, MINI Yours' leisurely leather-carbon black is available for users to choose from, giving the seat more eye-catching stitching and piping, and the British rice flag perforation design on the headrest. Nappa sports leather steering wheels have the words "RESOLUTE" printed on the lower spokes of the special edition model. On the dashboard, the evenly distributed pale gold pinstripes contrast with the black background and echo the outer hood pull stripes. With the laser-engraved rings scattered across the central instrument panel, the ambient lights in the doors and cockpit areas, the premium interior colours of the Special Edition models are accentuated.
Mini RESOLUTE Obsessive Special Edition also features the latest generation of MINI operating system, optimized for vehicle functions, audio programs, communications and applications for faster and more intuitive operation. The function card on the 8.8-inch touch display on the central dashboard can be used to activate menu items, allowing the driver to select the vehicle's functions as if they were operating a smartphone.
MINI will launch the MINI RESOLUTE Obsessive Special Edition based on the MINI COOPER Three-Door Edition, MINI COOPER S Three-Door Edition, MINI COOPER Five-Door Edition, MINI COOPER S Five-Door Edition and MINI COOPER S CABRIO.
MINI CLUBMAN is an innovator in the high-end compact segment, offering more interpretation of the concept of shooting brakes. The distinctive six-door design is more like a moving work of art.
Previously, the exclusive MINI COUNTRYMAN Eucalyptus paint was first applied to the MINI CLUBMAN UNTOLD Free Special Edition, and the JOHN COOPER WORKS Aerodynamic Kit provides a sleek, modern and dynamic look for the model. For the first time, the upper bracket of the wheels adopted a Eucalyptus cyan design, replacing the traditional black. Five slender, dynamic stripes run from the hood to the roof, and the 3D printed side suspension windows present a unique embossed stripe pattern that also appears on the driver's side welcome lights and welcome pedals outside the car.
Mini Clubman UNTOLD Comes with Untold's exclusive 18-inch alloy wheels, which feature a pitch-black/delicate brass combination of a two-tone finish. The door handles, exhaust tailpipes, MINI logo and model name are all designed in piano black.
Interiors feature MINI Yours relaxed leather-eucalyptus green sports seats, light-coloured stitching and piping designs, and stitching trims on the seat backrests. In the cockpit, eucalyptus green luminous trims complement the exclusive green embossed stripe interior, and the round air outlets are trimmed with delicate brass trims. Nappa sports leather steering wheel bottom spokes and foot pads are printed with the special edition car's unique badge.
This time, the MINI CLUBMAN UNTOLD Free Special Edition is equipped with two engines to choose from: mini COOPER CLUBMAN and MINI COOPER S CLUBMAN.
As the largest model in the MINI product range – four doors, one large tailgate, five seats and a flexible interior space – the luggage compartment volume is expanded from 450 litres to 1390 litres on demand , and mini countryman's optional ALL4 intelligent all-wheel drive system can easily handle different road conditions.
UnTAMED Uninhibited Special Edition is equipped with exclusive dynamic grey car paint, including the lower air intake around the car's underbody guard, the side air intake inserts of the front skirt plate, and the side and bottom inserts of the side skirt and rear skirt, all of which are painted with dynamic gray. The black MINI logo on the hood and tailgate is based on paint. The four twill body stickers at the bottom of the doors are all ice blue stone. The new car is also equipped with exclusive polished 18-inch Untamed hollowed-out lightweight aluminum alloy wheels. The grille, side portholes, door handles, exhaust pipe trim, the word "Untamed", the roof rack and the front and rear headlight bezels are all designed in high-gloss piano black.
The mini countryman UNTAMED Uninhibited Edition side portholes and welcome pedals are inspired by mountain landscapes and the UNTAAMED Uninhibited Special Edition logo, which also appears on the rear side windows of the C-pillar. Inside, the ice blue stone interior strip is also printed with mountain landscape patterns. The "Untamed" emblem is printed on the side of the seat and on the bottom spokes of Nappa's sport leather steering wheel, and the 3D embossed mountain landscape pattern on the foot cushions echoes the welcome pedals and interior strips. And the exclusive highland green blends with the blue-green contrast stitching of the MINI Yours casual leather sports seats.
