BMW officially said that MotoGP promised to use BMW M2 CS racing cars as race safety cars in the 2022 season, which is also a move to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of BMW M.
It is reported that the first race of the 2022 MotoGP race will be held in Qatar on March 6, and the BMW M2 CS car will lead the BMW M safety car team. At the same time, in the 2022 season, there will also be BMW M3 Competition, BMW M4 Competition, BMW M5 CS, BMW M8 Competition Gran Coupe as safety cars, BMW X5 M Competition as medical vehicles, and two BMW M 1000 RR motorcycles as safety cars.
The BMW M2 CS safety car has a maximum power of 450 horsepower, and it is equipped with special driving equipment such as ABS and DSC, mechanical limited-slip differential, drive shaft, carbon fiber roof and other configurations. At the same time, auxiliary lights and related safety devices have been installed in the vehicle, and the 50th anniversary logo is particularly conspicuous.
