On February 14, according to Taiwan media reports, Foxconn's pure electric vehicle Model T is about to be delivered, and the new car will be delivered to Taiwan's Kaohsiung Passenger Transport Company in March.
Model T is the first deliverable model of foxtron, a car brand jointly built by Foxconn's parent company Hon Hai Group and Nachijie's parent company Yulon Automobile, the former mainly providing platform research and development and OEM production.
Model T is developed by the MIH commercial vehicle open platform, the appearance of the square shape, the front four corners equipped with a small size led light group, the vehicle uses a relatively long front and rear overhang design, the simple style for the Model T to bring a very sci-fi appearance shape.
The new car is positioned as a smart urban transportation bus, introducing the "inner wheel difference warning system", through the computer analysis simulation platform design, to solve the safety hazards of large buses when turning, to ensure the safety of other pedestrians on the road. In addition, the vehicle is also equipped with a tiltable electronic air pressure suspension system, which can be tilted at a certain angle on the side of the body when parked, making it easy for passengers to get on and off the car.
In terms of power and endurance, the new car has a system power of 260kW, a peak torque of more than 3000 N·m, a design speed of 120 km/h, and a lithium iron phosphate battery, with a cruising range of 400 km.
At Hon Hai Technology Day last October, Foxconn officially released its pure electric vehicle brand Foxtron and brought a prototype of the Model T smart city transport bus. The brand also released two new models, model C and Model E, which are set as pure electric medium-sized SUVs and medium-sized sedans respectively.
Hon Hai founder Terry Gou once said at the press conference that the launch of these three electric vehicles took only one year. The Model T was delivered after half a year after the prototype was unveiled, which also shows Foxconn's determination and strength in car building.
In addition, Hon Hai Group also plans to deliver electric pickup truck Endurance to the US market in the third quarter, which is also the company's first official delivery of pure electric passenger cars to the market.
