According to AppleInsider, Apple has been sued by plaintiff SpaceTime3D, alleging that app multitasking and Safari tags on iPhones, iPads and Apple Watch infringed one of its 3D user interface patents.
SpaceTime3D is a software company that "provides consumers with a seamless digital experience." On Thursday, the company filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas over three disputed patents it claimed, one of which was first filed in 2007.
The lawsuit alleges that Apple's app switcher and Safari tabbed view features infringe on these patents because they cover a way to improve the user experience for small devices by displaying content in three dimensions.
