His father took a pen from Rong, and once directly attacked the defense battle of the Sihang Warehouse; the son began to enter the media world from the study of history, and became a popular current affair in the eyes of countless audiences... A good story from the media industry came to an end today. On the afternoon of February 11, an unfortunate news came that Cao Jingxing, a well-known media person and former deputy director of Phoenix Satellite TV Information Station, died of illness at the age of 75.

Born in Shanghai in 1947, Cao Jingxing graduated from the Department of History of Fudan University in 1978, and then entered the Institute of World Economics of the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences to study the US economy and thus enter the media industry... In his resume, there is no description of his life and work in Chongqing, but in fact, for various reasons, Cao Jingxing has always been very concerned about the development of the mountain city of Chongqing.

Entering the media industry is the inheritance of the father's business

Cao Jingxing's entry into the media industry is actually a son inheriting his father's business, and his father's name is Cao Juren. More than once, Cao Jingxing recalled his father: "My father originally taught at the university, wrote articles and magazines, studied Traditional Chinese studies, and also regarded himself as a historian. After the outbreak of the Second Sino-Japanese War, he took a pen from Rong and later became a special correspondent for the Central News Agency (at that time). ”

According to Cao Jingxing's recollection, his father's career as a war correspondent began with the Songhu War of Resistance, and he recorded many bits and pieces of the Sihang Warehouse defense war with his pen. In Cao Jingxing's view, the uniqueness of his father's interview is that "he is looking at the war he reported with the eyes of a historian and integrating it into the report." In particular, it is worth mentioning that in the process of cao Juren's work as a war correspondent, he also systematically collected many Documents and Diaries of the Japanese Army, which became the excellent material for him to later compile and publish the "History of Chinese Anti-Japanese War Painting".

Now, we look back at the works left by Cao Juren, and the one with the heaviest weight and the widest circulation is the "History of Chinese Anti-Japanese War Painting".

After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War in 1945, Cao Juren returned to Shanghai to continue editing and teaching. At this time, Shu Zongqiao, who had edited the "Lianhe Pictorial" in Chongqing during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, also went to Shanghai to collect pictures and materials left by the Japanese, and the two of them hit it off and jointly completed this record of the War of Resistance with pictures and texts. In May 1947, the first page of "History of Chinese Anti-Japanese War Painting" came to market, quickly sold out, and a month later it was reprinted.

After entering the media industry, Cao Jingxing recalled many times that he had turned the book very well when he was a child. He particularly stressed that he was very impressed by a sentence said by Jiang Baili (a famous military educator) in the book: "No matter how far we fight against Japan, it does not matter if we exhaust our losses, in the end, the bottom card is not to compromise with Japan, and only a long-term war of resistance can bring Japan down." In a word, victory or defeat is not to make peace with him (Japan)! ”

He once said that Chongqing's "biggest change is change"

In the process of Phoenix Satellite TV's popularity in the mainland, the famous brand column of "Phoenix Lecture Hall" is believed to have left a deep impression on many people. In 2007, it was precisely because of this column that Cao Jing walked into the mountain city.

Upstream reporters inquired about public reports, when Cao Jingxing hoped to take the opportunity to conduct an interview in Chongqing to dig up material for the new Phoenix TV program "Jingxing Chang'an Avenue" hosted by him in 2007. In an interview with reporters, Cao Jingxing recalled, "When I went to Chongqing this time, I found that the Liberation Monument was not the Liberation Monument of 16 years ago. ”

The last time Cao Jingxing visited Chongqing was in 1991.

Cao Jingxing particularly sighed: "The biggest change in Chongqing is change." He said that in his mind, when he came to Chongqing in 1991, the impression was still that many people were queuing up at the Liberation Monument to buy stocks.

"I love the city and it's well built." What he cares most about is that "what has caused this dramatic change" over the years.

Cao Jingxing went to the ancient town of Ciqikou, Hongya Cave and other Landmarks in Chongqing. This way down made him particularly happy: "I didn't expect there to be such a good place in Chongqing. The weather was nice when I went. Many people bask in the sun and drink tea on the beach, which is very leisurely. So many people walked on an old street, in long lines, buying twist flowers. He sighed: "I think in a modern city, there is such a place with a very cultural flavor, Chongqing people are really happy." ”

Not only that, since then, because he has become a special observer of the "Voice of China", Cao Jingxing has paid special attention to the bus fare hearing in Chongqing, the restoration of the original appearance of the anti-japanese war site, etc., and has given his own views from the perspective of current affairs commentators.

For example, at a bus fare hearing held in Chongqing in April 2009, he said: "There are relatively large opinions and differences in society on the news that the price may be adjusted, and it is normal for such public policies to cause different opinions in society." Now it is a relatively normal way to fully express different opinions in the form of hearings. A major public policy decision actually requires such a full expression of opinions, and then decisions are made according to the tendencies of everyone's opinions and the actual situation. ”

In September 2011, Chongqing announced that it would invest 2.888 billion yuan to help restore the historical appearance of the anti-japanese war sites. Cao Jingxing also sent praise for the first time, "All localities should seriously protect the sites of the War of Resistance like Chongqing, if they are not protected, then they may disappear forever." In addition, in addition to protecting the site, we should also protect the veterans of the War of Resistance, and now there is a group of enthusiastic people who are helping the anti-war veterans who have wandered to the ends of the earth to return to their hometowns, if they do not do this again, in a few years they may not have a chance to help. ”
