On February 11, Qiu Liben, editor-in-chief of Hong Kong's Asia Weekly, recalled to Jimu News that when Cao Jingxing was deputy editor-in-chief of the magazine in the 1990s, he was impressed by his diligence.

"At that time, the Internet was not developed, and newspapers mainly relied on newspapers to obtain information. Before leaving work, he would make copies of many English newspapers and Taiwanese newspapers, put them in a folder and take them home, and he would read the newspapers very carefully. Later, he worked as a commentator on current affairs, and he could easily grasp all kinds of events at home and abroad, which should also be related to this early habit of reading newspapers. Qiu Liben said, "He also attaches great importance to going to the news scene and running diligently, rather than relaying what has been reported, which is very dedicated." ”

Cao Jingxing's revision is also very meticulous. Qiu Liben recalled that colleagues said that Cao Jingxing's revised manuscript would leave a lot of handwriting.

As a friend, Qiu Liben said that Cao Jingxing has a mellow and gentle personality, "Sometimes the editorial department will debate because of the topic, and the temperament is anxious and easy to quarrel." But Cao Jingxing never clashed with anyone. ”

On the same day, Yu Pinhai, an investor in Ming Pao during Cao Jingxing's tenure as deputy editor-in-chief, wrote in a memorial article that Cao Jingxing was tolerant of others, always thinking continuously, and judging big and small things would start from the value of people. Yu Pinhai once criticized Cao Jingxing's performance on television for being too sensational and damaging to his image, and Cao Jingxing taught him, "Television is a mass media, and if someone wants to watch it, it cannot be held." ”

On the same day, He Liangliang, a commentator on current affairs on Phoenix Satellite TV, wrote an article recalling that when he and Cao Jingxing jointly produced a number of current affairs commentary programs, the super media innovation ability and expression ability were the basic impressions left by Cao Jingxing. Cao Jingxing is not willing to be mediocre and conventional, and collects all kinds of information almost at any time.

Jimu News reporters noticed that Cao Jingxing's last Weibo update was on the afternoon of February 7, which included a video program he co-produced, "Everyone Is Creative." In the Weibo comments section, a number of readers also came to express their condolences.
