Tanglewood's invited artist, Steinway artist Wu Chi, has given hundreds of concerts at home and abroad.
As an important piano educator in Mainland China, Mr. Akiyoshi was the first international competition winner among many piano talents, and he has shown a unique talent for piano art and musical pursuits as a teenager.
Wu Chi studied at the Sichuan Conservatory of Music and the Affiliated High School, graduated from the Accademia Incontri col Maestri di Imola in Italy and the Conservatorium van Amsterdam/CvA in the Netherlands, and was the proud protégé of the world-famous pianist Professor Lazar Berman. Upon graduation, he received the school's highest honor for piano performance and served as a Bellman teaching assistant.
As a special talent introduction of Sichuan Conservatory of Music, he is now a professor of Sichuan Piano Department, the vice president of Sichuan Piano Art Research Institute, and the deputy secretary-general and executive director of Sichuan Piano Society.
In his experience of mature international vision of music, Wu Chi was deeply influenced by Bellman's innocent artist personality and extensive musical academic thought.
With his superior skills, Bellman has recorded the world's most exciting collection of 12 Liszt's Superequotes to date, and has collaborated with Kalayan in his early years with Chai Yi.
