It is reported that in accordance with the requirements of the "Notice of the General Office of the China Association for Science and Technology on the Establishment of National Science Popularization Education Bases in 2021-2025", after review, 800 units are planned to be identified as national science popularization education bases, including 165 museums and memorials. Henan was selected as the Oriental Red Farming Museum, the Henan Natural History Museum, and the Chinese Character Museum.
The Oriental Red Farming Museum integrates a variety of functions such as collection, exhibition, publicity, education and research. Through precious historical pictures, cultural relics and historical materials, accompanied by modern means such as sound, light and electricity, it shows the transformation of Chinese farming to modern farming and the evolution of world farming culture, and reproduces the historical picture of agricultural development.
The Henan Museum of Natural History has collected more than 30,000 pieces of geological minerals, paleontology and mineral specimens from inside and outside the province, and collects and displays almost all kinds of ore and rock specimens in Henan, as well as exquisite mineral crystals and ornamental stone specimens from China and some countries.
The Chinese Character Museum is a national first-class museum that integrates cultural relics protection, exhibition and scientific research approved by the State Council, and is the science popularization center of Chinese character culture.
