Apple stall incident: iPad mini 6 is now "jelly screen" lawsuit

author:Drive the house

The iPad mini 6 "jelly screen" incident has caused many users to be dissatisfied, but Apple does not feel that there is any problem, so it is normal for such behavior to be collectively complained about by users.

According to court documents reviewed, Colorado resident Christopher Brian filed a class-action lawsuit against Apple on Wednesday, accusing the company of fraudulently marketing and selling sixth-generation iPad minis, even though the company knew the device had a so-called "jelly rolling" defect.

A few days after the release of the sixth-generation iPad mini in September, some users began to notice that the text appeared somewhat uneven as they scrolled vertically on the device. Specifically, the text on the left side of the screen seems to lag slightly behind the text on the right side of the screen as it scrolls.

The complaint in The District Court for the District of Northern California alleges that Apple was aware of the defect but continued to sell the iPad mini but did not fix the defect or modify its marketing materials to reflect the defect.

Earlier, an Apple spokesperson said the effect was "normal behavior for LCD screens." iFixit also said that this effect is common on displays, but the repair company speculates that because the monitor's controller board is mounted vertically inside the device, rather than horizontally as in the fourth-generation iPad Air, it may stand out on the new iPad mini.
