author:Beijing News

Beijing News Shell Financial News (reporter Sun Wenxuan) According to foreign media reports, on Tuesday, local time, Amazon announced that Amazon is launching its telemedicine services throughout the United States, that is, Amazon Care.

Amazon Care was originally launched in Washington State in September 2019 as a pilot program to provide free telemedicine consultation and home-based medical services for employees and their families until the summer of 2021, when Amazon expanded the program to employees and outside companies nationwide. In the process, it has also expanded more primary health-care services.

In addition, the e-commerce giant is expanding its on-site care business in more cities in the United States. Later this year, the company plans to launch on-site care operations in 20 cities, including New York, San Francisco, Miami and Chicago. Amazon Care's on-site care services are currently available in 8 cities.

Amazon said the coronavirus pandemic has led to a surge in demand for home care, both virtually and face-to-face. It wants Amazon Care to combine virtual care with "a new way of face-to-face care" to appeal to corporate employers.
