Recently, Great Wall Motor's application for the transfer of the registered trademark "Landing Ship" to BYD Automobile was approved and publicized. Previously, BYD Automobile transferred its registered trademark "Wei" to Great Wall Motors, and the courtesy behavior of the two car companies to "exchange" trademarks also represented that their own brands began to work together.

In January this year, the new car planning map of BYD Marine series was exposed. The BYD Ocean series includes marine life (all pure electric models) and warship series (all DM-i models), of which the registered trademark of "landing ship" donated by Great Wall Motors is likely to be BYD's new MPV model.
In the past 2021, BYD's new energy model sales reached 593,700 units, an increase of 231.6% year-on-year. Based on the good sales performance, BYD has targeted sales of 1.2 million vehicles in 2022, especially with the advent of hybrid MPV model landing ships, BYD's product layout in the new energy vehicle market is more perfect.
As a high-end brand of Great Wall Motors, "WEY" can share the surname "Wei" with the founder of the company, Wei Jianjun, and it is precisely because BYD Automobile has previously transferred the "Wei" trademark to Great Wall Motors free of charge, thus forming a good story among its own brands.
In November 2016, Great Wall Motors released a new brand - WEY, Chinese name "Wei Pai", and then changed to "Wei Brand", and the name of the WEY brand is derived from the surname of Wei Jianjun, the founder of Great Wall Motors. In 2021, BYD transferred the "Wei" trademark in its dynasty series to Great Wall Motors.
