China's space launches will exceed 50 more this year China will officially enter the space station construction stage

CCTV news: China Aerospace Science and Technology Group yesterday (February 9) released the "Blue Book of China's Aerospace Science and Technology Activities (2021)", "Blue Book" shows that in 2022, the number of China's space launches will exceed 50 times again, of which the first flight of new carrier rockets such as the Long March 6A and Jielong 3 will be completed. In addition, this year is the most arduous year for manned spaceflight projects, and manned spaceflight will complete the construction of The Chinese space station through 6 missions, including the launch of two Tianzhou cargo spacecraft, two Shenzhou manned spacecraft, and the Qingtian Experimental Module and the DreamLand Experimental Module.

The "Blue Book" shows that in 2021, China's space launch activities continue to make major breakthroughs, with a total of 55 launch missions performed throughout the year, ranking first in the world in the number of launches, and the total mass of launched spacecraft reached a new high, reaching 191.19 tons, an increase of 85.5% year-on-year. As the leading force of China's aerospace science and technology industry, in 2021, the Long March series of carrier rockets of the Aerospace Science and Technology Group completed 48 launch missions, all of which were successful, ranking first in the number of launches in the world's aerospace enterprises, with a total number of 103 launched spacecraft and a total mass of 189.65 tons.

At present, China is in the key technical verification stage of the space station mission, and after the safe return of Shenzhou 13, China will officially enter the space station construction stage. According to the "Blue Book", in 2022, China's manned space project will implement 6 launch missions, with the Tianhe core module as the control center, the Qingtian and Mengtian experimental modules as the main experimental platforms, and the perennial manned space station will be fully built, and the configuration of the Chinese space station will also be basically formed.

Berlin Hou, deputy chief designer of the space station system of the Fifth Academy of Aerospace Science and Technology Group: After the return of the Shen Thirteen astronauts in the group, we have a systematic assessment of the verified situation, and after the assessment is normal, we will move to the construction stage, which is also the most launched (manned) spacecraft in our country in a year.

According to experts, China's space station is mainly composed of the Tianhe core module, the Qingtian experimental module and the Mengtian experimental module. This year, the two experimental modules will be launched successively, and a number of manned and unintended space experiment missions will be carried out. After the completion of the launch of the Qingtian Experimental Module and the DreamLand Experimental Module, China's space station will also form a T-shaped combination.

Berlin Hou, deputy chief designer of the space station system of the Fifth Academy of Aerospace Science and Technology Group: After forming a T-shaped composite body configuration, we will fully test the function and performance of the entire space station, and it is expected to be transferred to the operation stage of the entire space station at the end of this year. At the end of this year we should have astronauts, we call it rotation, and during the rotation there will be up to 6 astronauts in orbit at the same time.
