But unlike the windy, icy, roaring stormy winters you can encounter off the coast of Norway, they won't bring you the same level of rainstorms and endless low-cloud pain as the British Isles.
For me, winter in Sweden is one of my favorite seasons and I'm here to enjoy them. I found them very quiet, covered in mouth-watering powder snow, often large, blue skies and dry air, which reminded me of my years in Northwest Canada.
There's a subarctic lightness and cleanliness in the air, like the feeling you feel in your airways when you've eaten thick mints.
The overall aspect of it was lovely. I wouldn't miss it for anything. I used to take some pictures around the village.
