The ViuTV drama "IT Dog", starring Gu Tianle's artist Ling Wenlong and members of MIRROR, has been touted by local media and drama critics as a rare divine drama in ten years since its inception, but on the mainland platform Douban, it has fallen to 5.9 points because of its alleged plagiarism of "silicon valley" and relying on black TVB classic works as a selling point, so that many pro-ViuTV media have hugged it and reported in solidarity.
After many local ViuTV fans saw the relevant reports, they all believed that the negative evaluation of Douban was a malicious attack, which must be the work of TVB's water army. Since February 5, a large number of fans from Hong Kong have begun to pour into the Douban "IT Dog" scoring interface to "protect the disk".
After logging on to the Douban web page to inquire, xiaobian found that there were 207 short comments shown by IT Dog, of which 60 were four-star and five-star reviews, and at least 33 of these 60 were left in traditional Cantonese or claimed to be Hong Kongers (no statistics were given on the use of Hong Kong-style Mixed Simplified Comments). This means that more than half of the positive reviews are most likely from Hong Kong.
Because "IT Dog" is not as popular as the pro-ViuTV media (such as Hong Kong 01) said, the number of reviews at 5.9 is only 102 people, the base is extremely small, so the efforts of local ViuTV fans are not in vain, and the rating quickly rose to 6.2 points.
If all goes well, the Hong Kong media continue to show solidarity, ViuTV fans play their mobilizing power in Hong Kong, and it is not impossible for "IT Dog" to surpass the 9.1 score of the original "silicon valley". Xiaobian boldly predicted that if the score of "IT Dog" soared to more than 7 points, TVB would be responsible for the Douban rating of all ViuTV episodes in the future, after all, the low rating of the episodes was caused by TVB's water army.
Having said that, local ViuTV fans have always claimed that ViuTV does not care about the mainland market, nor does it want the station to open up the mainland market, and it is reasonable to say that they should not care about the Douban score, but judging from the reaction in the comment area after the Hong Kong media report, they seem to care. This is the same as MIRROR, saying that they don't want them to look north to Shenzhou, but they are very concerned about the evaluation of MIRARR IN the mainland, and they will also run to Weibo related topics to criticize.
