On February 8, SAIC Volkswagen released the official picture of the new Langyi, which uses the "double front face" design as a mid-term remodeled model, in addition to the ordinary version of the model, the new car also brings a new starry sky version of the appearance to meet the needs of different consumers. It is reported that the new car will be officially listed at this year's Beijing Auto Show.
In terms of appearance, the front face of the new Langyi Starry Sky Edition adopts a more radical and avant-garde design language, breaking the original horizontal chrome decoration, and the star diamond modeling elements are arranged in a parametric manner, showing a visual effect of spreading outwards, full of vitality. The chrome trim strips of the horizontal grille are connected to the slender headlight strips on both sides, and run through the dense starry sky shape, showing a strong sense of futuristic technology. The lower grille has also been upgraded, and the skeleton design echoes the front face of the starry sky, which is very sporty.
The side shape of the body continues the modern and atmospheric style of Langyi, the slender waist line runs through the front and back, and the side is full of three-dimensional sense and power. For the two front faces, there are also different rim shapes to highlight the different body styles. The rear design of the new Langyi is full of tension and layering. The new blackened LED stereo taillights, with a slender and sharp silhouette, are staggered in the internal structure, echoing the headlights. The Star Edition also features a black rear wing, black mirrors and a black roof to create a sporty silhouette of the new model.
In terms of interior design, the new Langyi uses a horizontal two-color trim panel throughout the entire dashboard, visually dividing the center console into upper and lower parts, the central control screen is changed from the original embedded to the latest suspension design of the Volkswagen brand, the new family steering wheel, air conditioning outlet, instrument panel, door panel, etc., are modified by dazzling silver chrome plating. Cool Black is a unique color scheme for the Sport model, using a large area of graphite black premium leather fabric and using red as an accent at the air conditioner outlet, seat stitching and armrests.
In the power segment, the new car is expected to follow the powertrain of the current model, equipped with a 1.4T engine, a maximum power of 110 kW (150 hp), a maximum torque of 250 Nm, and a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
