On February 9, Qualcomm Technologies and Ferrari announced a strategic technical cooperation to help accelerate Ferrari's digital transformation. Qualcomm Technologies will be the system solution provider for Ferrari's upcoming Ferrari sports cars, as well as a senior partner for the Ferrari Formula 1 team and the Ferrari esports team.
Ferrari will work with Qualcomm Technologies to bring the latest automotive technology to Ferrari sports cars using Snapdragon Digital Chassis. The Snapdragon Digital Chassis consists of a complete set of open and scalable cloud connectivity platforms that power the next generation of vehicles, including in-vehicle connectivity and connectivity technologies, digital cockpits, and advanced driver assistance system capabilities, leveraging a unified architecture for greater safety and immersive digital experiences, and enabling the car's feature upgrades throughout its lifecycle. Based on this collaboration, Qualcomm Technologies and its partners will also work with Ferrari to design, develop and integrate Ferrari's digital cockpit.
Qualcomm Technologies will become a senior partner for Ferrari Formula One team at the start of the 2022 FIA Formula One Championship season, and the Snapdragon logo will appear on the all-new Ferrari F1-75 car. In addition, the partnership will cover Ferrari's branded esports events in Maranello.
