In Heze, Shandong, in this rich cultural fertile field of ancient Caozhou, calligraphy and painting are both mass and elite. This extensiveness and unique standard make this place have the reputation of "the hometown of calligraphy and painting". In terms of calligraphy alone, famous giants, such as Lin. However, what is surprising is that the predecessor calligraphers were willing to obey, and a young man in his thirties was appointed as the leader, the chairman of the Heze City Calligraphers Association, and this young man was Hou Yulin.

Why? Because of his "early completion of the big instrument".

Yulin is indeed "a big instrument early". As a student in the early 1980s, Yulin won frequent awards in calligraphy competitions across the country. Since the end of the 1980s, Yulin has almost become an award-winning "professional household", organized by the China Book Association "National Calligraphy Exhibition for Young and Middle-Aged People" and various "Calligraphy Seal Engraving Exhibition", "Calligraphy Fan Exhibition", "Linshu Exhibition" and so on. Over the past twenty years, Yulin has received invitation letters and award certificates, not to mention the "vehicle bucket volume", but also a cabinet full of cabinets. His solo exhibitions of calligraphy are all over the country. Just recently, he also successfully held the "Hou Yulin Calligraphy Art Exhibition" in Hong Kong. Yulin's youth became a talent, which reminded me of the story of "Hurting Zhongyong" - Zhongyong stopped working hard because of his talent, and finally "disappeared from everyone". Yulin's "great instrument was completed early", but there was no "sigh" of Zhongyong, which was admirable.

Yulin in calligraphy, the first practice of Tang Kai, Yan Jian willow bone, modesty, often the book straight through the eight feet of the house of the giant Xuan, dotted Zhuang Mu, pounds majestic, just into the calligraphy, that is, to show people with great dignity and style. Following the study of the Wei Monument, the heart chases the hand, the point of its axe chiseling knife splitting, the convexity is strong and strong, and the tenacity, courage and heroic heart of Yuqi Yulin, especially in the Zhang Ronglong Monument, is also a book and a heart meeting, intending to move one by one, and following the ink Yang, this body has become the best carrier of Yulin Zhangyang's life. Yulin attaches great importance to this posture, and every time he participates in the competition, he worships the body; in each solo exhibition, he places the body in a prominent position; and every time he inscribes an important plaque, he also uses this body. In the book world, in this small city, the "Wei Monument", especially the "Zhang Ronglong Monument", has almost become synonymous with Hou Yulin. Of course, Yulin will not be bound to one, and he is also very diligent in the Lishu "Cao Quan Monument", "Good King Monument" and various kinds of grass. A friend gave a poem to Yun: "Ancient Humble Xiong is as strong as a mountain, and The Wei Monument Tang Kai Tree is a standard model." Meditation and enlightenment are now thinking, and there is connotation in the good king. "He wanders in the kingdom of calligraphy, stretching out his free heart, serious and free.

Yulin's "great instrument early" and Wu Zhongyong's "sigh" also lies in his academic cultivation and calligraphy.

Yulin is in calligraphy, and does not do the act of holding the stele and the ascetic monk facing the wall, he pays more attention to the kung fu outside the word, and pays more attention to the connotation and nourishment of traditional Sinology. Hundreds of sons, poetry and song, Confucianism and Zen, Lao Zhuang Taoism, he is widely involved in, eclectic. Therefore, his calligraphy is full of abundant confidence. On this basis, we will study the theory in depth, from the style of writing of each generation and the rhyme of each school, to the calligraphy of each family, and the dots and strokes of each word, all of which are traced back to the source, deeply studied and thoroughly understood, into it, out of the outside, and finally into their own, independent style of writing. His experience and experience in various texts have been published in newspapers and periodicals across the country, and they are shared with their peers in calligraphy and painting, which is also a great pleasure.

Yulin's "big instrument is early", and Wu Zhongyong's "sigh" also benefits from his mentality and interest.

Yulin is in calligraphy, which can be described as "a mound in the chest and a ghost god under the wrist", but he loves it and is not narcissistic. He had a peaceful mind, entered the world, and believed in nature. Everything is not forced, that is, "the plot is in man, and the success is in heaven." As a "celebrity" in the book world, Yulin has many people who ask for words. In the face of this situation, some calligraphers often pose as "strange goods can be lived", and write in a fixed number every year, and wait for the price to be sold. Yulin is not, he is responsive, no request, no send - even if you are a high-ranking official. In the past, yulin's inscription on the street was quite wrong, but it was relieved to think about Yulin's habitual mentality and interest. Yulin began to write, a solemn face, but when he did not write, he was a face of lightness. He often held a Yixing purple pot, walking leisurely, and when he was excited, his cheeks shook sharply, and a laugh erupted from his mouth, and his eyes narrowed into a line. Such a leisurely and free demeanor naturally stems from his free heart. And this is the reason why he went far and well on the road of calligraphy. Yulin has a mantra called "just play", according to which I made a poem for his play: "Playing with mantras, I want to be busy and idle." Ascending to the heights of the heart, it is another heavy heaven. ”
