Gao Jianguo Zishengzhi, born in 1956, graduated from the Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts in 1980 and was taught by Pu Zuo, Sun Qifeng, Lü Yunsuo and other professors. In 1988, he held a solo exhibition in Tianjin, and his works were published in major newspapers and periodicals in Tianjin. -In 1991, an exhibition of the works of Gao Zhanguo and Gao Jianguo brothers was held in Tianjin. In 1996, he participated in the first art exhibition in Yichang, Hubei Province. In 2002, he participated in the 30th anniversary of the normalization of Sino-Japanese diplomatic relations (the 15th anniversary of the founding of the China-Japan Friendship Association) Exhibition of Calligraphy and Paintings of Modern China. In 2003, Tianjin Satellite TV broadcast a feature film entitled "Painter Gao Jianguo", and in 2007, gao Jianguo's solo exhibition was held in Chengde. He is a senior calligrapher and painter of the Western Academy of Calligraphy and Painting, the vice president of Tianjin Nankai Academy of Painting, and a visiting professor of Tianjin Business School. But there are very few people who have done it, and many painters who have learned to paint a certain person's style have been painting all the time, painting other people's paintings for a lifetime, and the creation of the teacher is the creation of the predecessors, let alone the source of the heart. Now, learning Chinese painting also attaches importance to sketching, facing nature, you can completely describe how to get the source of the heart, and what kind of method to express your inner feelings. This has become a difficult problem, many painters only stay in the expression of nature, the picture has nothing to do with the inner emotions of the painter, and most painters in society are like this. However, the expression of their inner world has become a bottleneck, so there is no concern for the external world, blindly using color materials at will on the plane, not to mention the attributes of Chinese painting, and its content may not even be counted as painting. Created by foreign teachers, the source of the heart has become the dream of the painter.

Sheng Zhigao graduated from the Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts in the 1980s and was also a student of my father. I remember that my father valued him very much when he was alive. So we've always had a good relationship. Brother Jianguo is a man like his paintings, very peaceful and generous, polite. From his works, we can see his cultivation, not hot or dry, with profound connotations, and does not show publicity and low-key behavior. He was also not very enthusiastic about social activities, and even if he had a place in some painting groups, he was only painting and was by no means an active person.
There are four things in his works that are his own, one is painting, his paintings have obvious personalities and unique styles, and clear-eyed people can recognize his works at a glance. The second is the word, the words in his paintings complement each other perfectly, and there are not many good inscriptions among painters, he should be counted as one. His calligraphy follows the path of thesis, and the grass is excellent. The third is the seal, whether it is a fine Zhu or a full white multi-attack Chinese seal, hundreds of seals are engraved by himself, so the picture is easy to unify. The fourth is the content of the inscription, no matter how many words are basically from his own feelings. Therefore, looking at his paintings, there are multiple appreciations, poems, paintings, and prints, each with its own content. Sometimes after hanging at home for a long time, I found that there were still some small ideas in the painting, which is the characteristic of his works, so that some characteristics can sometimes be found in the ancient calligraphy and paintings.
The paintings of Jianguo are not easy to give to people, and society mostly thinks that he is tight-handed. As far as I know, he is not a prolific painter, and he has to paint many pictures in one painting, and each one has been changed until he is satisfied. Therefore, he is painting with his heart, and the details are meticulous so that he is more attractive.
