Apple acquires London-based AI music company AI Music

On February 8, according to market news, Apple acquired a London startup called AI Music, which uses AI technology to generate customized music. AI Music was founded in 2016 and the acquisition has been completed in recent weeks. Ai Music had about 20 employees before the deal.

AI Music uses royalty-free music and AI technology to create custom music, and its original intention was to create dynamic soundtracks based on user interactions. For example, video game concerts change according to mood, and music can be adjusted according to intensity during exercise.

Last year Apple acquired only a handful of companies, and AI Music is one of them, small in scale. The last time Apple bought a business was back to Primephonic, which is also a music startup. Primephonic provides users with a classical music streaming service.
