There are nine accident-prone sections in the city: 231 km to 241 km of Provincial Highway 222 in Donggang District (section from Xihu Town to Houcun Town), 370 km to 380 km of National Highway 204 in Donggang District (Taoluo Town Section), Juxian Ginkgo Avenue, Juxian 313 Provincial Highway 52 km to 62 km (Dianziji Town Section), Jiefang Road in Wulian County, Wanghu Town section of Wulian County 206 National Highway, Shenzhen Road in Rizhao Economic and Technological Development Zone, Shanhaitian Tourist Resort 204 National Highway 320 km to 330 km (two town section), Lanshan District 204 National Highway 382 km to 387 km (Hushan Town section), of which 3 are urban roads, 4 are ordinary national highways, 2 are ordinary provincial highways.

The city's high-risk road transport enterprises: Donggang District Rizhao Zhongheng Logistics Co., Ltd., Rizhao Shengcheng Machinery Engineering Co., Ltd., Economic and Technological Development Zone Rizhao Haichuan Concrete Co., Ltd., these 3 enterprises have more traffic violations of freight vehicles.

Through the analysis of the traffic violations of passenger vehicles in the city in 2021, the passenger transport enterprises that have violated traffic violations more than 7 times are: Rizhao Changxing Tourism Passenger Transport Co., Ltd., Rizhao Modern Road Transport Co., Ltd., Shandong Songda Tourist Passenger Transport Co., Ltd., and Juxian Sanxing Transportation Co., Ltd.

In 2021, a total of 24 people in the city were banned from driving for life according to law. Among them, if a traffic accident occurs after drinking alcohol or driving a motor vehicle while drunk, 9 people are banned from driving for life; if the traffic accident constitutes a crime and the driver has escape circumstances, 15 people are banned from driving for life.
