In February last year, Microsoft officially released the Viva work platform, designed to help enterprises work remotely. The Viva platform is divided into four modules: Connectivity, Insights, Topics, and Learning.
The connectivity module is the regular internal communication in which employees can work remotely with other colleagues. It also contains a dashboard that shows company news, contacts, community content, and more.
The Insights module is used to statistical employee data, from which managers can collect employee work data and analyze employee productivity. Microsoft also said that the module will respect employee privacy, and some data can only be viewed by employees personally.
Learning modules are used for in-house training, where managers can place training materials, courses, and other content for employees to learn.
The thread module can be thought of as an internal company encyclopedia that uses AI to organize content and automatically displays documents, videos, and related people in topic cards.
