According to Sina Technology, Nike and Amazon are each evaluating their bids for interactive fitness platform Peloton. The latter was pressured by activist investors to dismiss its board of directors to fire the CEO and consider selling the company. Neither Amazon nor Nike has entered into any negotiations with Peloton, and the current assessment is still in its infancy, people familiar with the matter said. They also added that because Peloton's market value has shrunk from nearly $50 billion to less than $8 billion in just 12 months, it is speculative to consider acquisitions at this time.
