Red Bull's new car launch will not reveal "any special details"

The release season for F1 cars started on Friday Haas, but as one predicted, it was just the look of the car. That means fans will have to wait until next week to see the first new car of 2022, the Red Bull RB18.

Max Verstappen's team will unveil the envelope for the 2022 new car on Thursday afternoon, and a day later as asparton Martin and McLaren will also unveil the new car, while Ferrari and Mercedes will be released a week later.

However, Red Bull's rivals don't have to look too closely at the car, as Marko says a lot of important details will be hidden.

Marko said: "This show is important for fans and sponsors, but it will not show any special details of the car. ”

That said, fans will have to wait until pre-season testing in Barcelona on February 23 to see the full version of the RB18.

Marko added: "The new car will be ready shortly before testing begins in Barcelona on 23 February, and from then on it will be further developed and will receive another promotion in the first race of the season in Bahrain on 20 March. ”

The Austrian explained that while it was okay to show the car before pre-season testing last year, this year's new rules mean teams have to hide their innovations for as long as possible.

"Last year's rules were the same, but now it's the opposite, with new rules, everybody doesn't want all the designs to be shown prematurely," he said. ”
