F1 Mexico is back in flames: Perez is eliminated

At the 2023 Formula 1 Mexican Grand Prix, Max Verstappen overtook teammate Sergio Pérez at the first turn of the race and held the lead in the race, eventually setting a new record for the most Formula 1 wins in a single season with 16 wins. He extended his lead in the closing stages of the race to eventually win the race, becoming the only rider this season to still win the race after three red flag breaks.
