Zhangjiakou, February 4 (China News Network) -- On the afternoon of February 3, the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Torch Relay was held in Zhangjiakou. At the relay point of The Fulong Ski Resort in Chongli District, 32 torchbearers relayed 2.05 kilometers on the slopes. This is also the only time that the Winter Olympic Torch Relay event has been fully snowed.

The Beijing Winter Olympic Torch Relay was held from February 2 to 4 in Beijing, Yanqing and Zhangjiakou. Zhangjiakou Transmission Activities are mainly concentrated on February 3, with a total of 5 relay points, namely Nihewan National Archaeological Site Park in Yangyuan County, Desheng Village in Zhangbei County, Qiaodong District Industrial Culture Theme Park, Fulong Ski Resort in Chongli District and Dajingmen in Qiaoxi District.

The torchbearers who participate in the torch relay at Fulong Ski Resort come from all walks of life. Among them, there are sports figures such as ski world champion Guo Dandan, famous shooter Pang Wei, and representatives of medical and health circles such as Liu Fang, Zhao Xiaoliang, and Shi Jian, who have performed prominently in the fight against the new crown pneumonia epidemic. Wang Xiaojun, a local torchbearer in Chongli who benefited from the development of the ice and snow industry, also participated in the torch relay process.

Chongli is one of the important events of this Winter Olympic Games, with early snowfall, thick snow and long snow period, which creates conditions for Chongli to carry out skiing.
