Pig in ancient mainland China has a very special meaning, the Chinese character "home" is separated is the house under the "豕", Huainanzi recorded: "Chen Feng in the room, the family and worship", which means that in ancient homes commonly used pork to sacrifice. And the pig became one of the earliest totem worship of the ancients.
Until now, there are still many bronzes with the shape of a pig as a prototype, such as the bronze pig statue unearthed in Xiangtan, Hunan, which is called "the only one in the world". The origin of this "pig" is also quite legendary, it was dug up by a father and son when they built a new house at home, and now it is collected by the Hunan Museum for external exhibition.
In 1981, many migrant workers made money and their first thought was not to buy a house in a foreign country, but to take the money home and build a new house. After all, in China, where the local plot is serious, the fallen leaves are the focus on returning to the roots, and the older generation often urges their children and grandchildren to come back to build new houses when they have money, and soon this behavior has evolved into a trend of comparison, and many new houses have been erected in many rural areas.
Zhu Guiwu, from Jiuhua Commune in Xiangtan, Hunan Province, is also busy building new houses, not only repairing but also building several new houses on the basis of old houses. Fortunately, Zhu Guiwu and his father still had some savings, recruited relatives, friends and construction workers, and started working as they talked. You don't need any excavators to build a comfortable new house yourself.
The first step in building a house is naturally to dig the foundation, but the location of Zhu Guiwu's house is more special, located in a mountain nest opposite the Xiang River, and it is reasonable to say that the soil here is mostly mud. But Zhu Guiwu dug and dug but felt that something was wrong, it turned out that a shovel went down to the soil and did not see, most of the sand that came out, which made him feel sad.
As we all know, sand does not accumulate water, but also is not strong, as a foundation inevitably has safety hazards, but there is no way back to open the bow, only to see if the bottom is not all sand. Soon Zhu Guiwu found that the sand was digging thinner and thinner, as if someone had deliberately buried it, until he dug a hard thing with a shovel.
At first, he thought it was a stone, zhu Guiwu did not care, but soon he found that this "stone" was somewhat special, looking very much like a pig. Saying this, he called his father over, and with the joint efforts of a crowd of people, he lifted the thing up, and it turned out to be a "pig." It's just that this pig is made of bronze all over the body, the shape is simple, it is not a domestic pig, it is a wild boar.
However, within a day or two, the news that Zhu Guiwu's family had dug up a bronze pig spread throughout the village, and even the city's cultural relics bureau was alarmed. The Cultural Relics Bureau sent experts to identify, and the experts saw at a glance that the pig was a bronze artifact from the Shang and Zhou Dynasties, and then immediately sealed off the Zhu family's house, while gathering people to protect the scene.
After repeated examination by experts, it was determined that this was a Bronze Pig Zun of the Shang Dynasty, which was used as a ceremonial vessel for the Shang Dynasty people to worship the gods, and the large belly of the Pig Zun could hold up to 13 liters of wine. Moreover, the pig zun also has a dragon pattern and a beast face pattern, which is simple in shape and has high artistic value and historical research significance.
According to the oracle bones of Yin Ruins, the Shang Dynasty people have begun to tame wild boars and raise domestic pigs. This bronze pig still uses the shape of a wild boar, perhaps related to the worship of wild boars by the locals, which in the Shang Dynasty had the saying of warding off evil spirits and communicating with gods, so it was often used as a sacrifice to entertain the gods, and there were similar bronzes in the Western Zhou Dynasty.
Unfortunately, the experts did not find other cultural relics near Zhu Guiwu's house, which made the experts disappointed. But then he found Zhu Guiwu and explained to him the value and significance of this bronze pig, after all, there was only one Bronze Pig of the Shang Dynasty in the world at that time. Afterwards, in order to let Zhu Guiwu hand over to the state, the experts visited the door 10 times before and after, and finally Zhu Guiwu decided to follow the advice of the experts and hand it over to the museum, and now this bronze pig statue of extraordinary significance is collected by the Hunan Provincial Museum, and interested friends can still see his figure in Changsha.
