The story of Sai Weng's loss of horse, said well is the chicken soup of the soul, said that the fork is the spiritual victory method, the fate is still as far as possible in their own hands.

I. Inspirational "Hoyt Team"

Dick Hoyt, Lieutenant Colonel of the Air National Guard, was born on June 1, 1940. If it weren't for the tragedy of January 10, 1962, his life would have been completely different. On that day, his son Rick Hoyt was born, and Rick was diagnosed as a vegetative state by doctors due to a lack of oxygen in the brain caused by a cord wrapped around his neck. But the Dicks never treated their son as a vegetative person and always hoped that one day he would wake up.

When their son Rick was eleven years old, the Dicks found that telling jokes in front of Rick could make their son Rick laugh, so the Dicks sent their son to the engineering department of Tufts University, and installed a computer for their son Rick that could control the mouse target with the side of the head, and the son Rick was finally able to communicate with the outside world.

When his son Rick was fifteen years old, one of his middle school classmates was paralyzed by an accident, and the school held a run to raise money for the student, and his son Rick typed through the computer: "Dad, I want to participate too." "Father Dick is a soldier with no professional running training, but because of his son's request, he participated, so he pushed his son Rick to run the 5-mile journey.

After it was over, his son Rick said to his father, "When I ran, I didn't feel any different from other people." This sentence deeply shook his father Dick and changed his life.

Father Dick specially customized a wheelchair that can be pushed when running, practiced every day: pushing the wheelchair to run to send his son to school, and preparing to participate in the 1979 Boston Marathon.

However, a phrase from the organizing committee of the competition, "no registration is accepted", turned the father and son out of the door, because the father and son were neither solo runners nor wheelchair participants.

But Dick, the father, didn't give up, took his son to all the running races he could, and gave them the name "Hoyt Team." As long as running can bring happiness to his son, father Dick insists on running, does not let us participate, we follow behind and run, here can not run, we will go to other places to run! Run slow today, run back tomorrow! It was this persistence that finally touched the Boston Marathon Organizing Committee. At the 1983 Boston Marathon, the "Hoyt Team" was welcomed by a special pair of runners.

They have completed more than 1,000 races, the best time was two hours and 40 minutes in 1992 – only 35 minutes behind the world record; this is a very remarkable achievement, most people are still struggling to run into 3 hours, and father Dick is pushing Rick in a wheelchair to complete this feat!

In 2013, the Boston Marathon Organizing Committee built a bronze statue for them and placed it at the beginning of the Boston Marathon. The "Hoyt Team" became a Boston Marathon legend.

In 2014, the "Hoyts" participated in the Boston Marathon together for the last time. From then on, Father Dick's job will be relayed by volunteers who will continue to push Rick on the track.

Second, the story behind the legend

In 2003, during a competition, his father, Dick, suffered a mild heart attack and subsequently underwent a heart surgery.

In 2016, doctors found that one of his father's arteries, Dick, was 95 percent blocked during a health check and was at risk of stroke. One of the doctors said to him: "If you hadn't been pushing your son to physical exercise, you might have died of a myocardial infarction 15 years ago."

Son Rick said, "My father is the greatest father in the world because he saved my life. ”

Father Dick said: "Son, I am proud of you, in fact you have saved me!" ”

For his son Rick, his birth was a tragedy, and he may spend his life in another family in a nursing home, but his father Dick gave him the hope of a new life, lighting a bright torch in the darkness.

For his father Dick, the birth of his son undoubtedly brought him a heavy blow, but he did not give up on his son, did not get beaten down by fate, and insisted on bringing happiness all the way to his son. Fate is cruel, but the reward is to live 20 more years, at least 20 more years!

Third, fitness exercise and cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases

Numerous studies have confirmed that continuous fitness exercise can improve cardiorespiratory endurance and is negatively correlated with early mortality from cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.

Fitness exercises strengthen the heart muscle and have a positive impact on the structure and function of the heart. If you insist on exercising for a long time, the number of contractions of the heart, the amount of blood sent out by each pressure, the number of breaths, and the degree of constation of the lungs increase. Thereby promoting the increase of heart beat volume, the ability of vascular flow is enhanced, and the risk of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases is significantly reduced.

What substances are most precious in the world? It's not a gold diamond, it's not lobster abalone, and it's not yellow rosewood.

The most precious substances in the world are air, without which people cannot live for a few minutes, but people will not cherish air, because air is free. Only when people are suffocated by lack of oxygen will they think of the preciousness of air.

The same is true of health, which accompanies us from birth, regardless of origin, regardless of whether it is noble or lowly, but no one cherishes it when we are young. When you cherish it, it is either old or sick, and it is not impossible to cherish your health when you are old and sick, but the space that can be freed is very narrow, and it basically ends in regret.

Health is the cheapest, but in exchange for the most precious life, please cherish your health! Let's run!!
