author:Xinmin Evening News

Many years ago, once in Zhang Ruifang's apartment, casually talked about the actors she came into contact with, when talking about Yu Lan, Ruifang said that Yu Lan was three years younger than her, and said that several female roles she played were very impressive. Hearing her say this, I had the idea of visiting Yu Lan when I had the opportunity. The years are easy, and now, Lao Zhang is no longer there, Yu Lan has also passed away; and June 3rd, is the centenary birthday of The eldest sister, which should be sincerely commemorated.

Yu Lan and "Revolutionary Family"

The scenery of the northern country made Yu Lan as a child deeply feel the beauty of the mountains and rivers of the motherland. However, once she came into contact with reality, it made her feel depressed.

Yu Lan came to Tianjin from Harbin when she was ten years old. She began to contact literature and art, and read many foreign novels. After the Japanese invaded China, the country's peril and the darkness of reality plunged her into pain. Once, a relative introduced her to reading Zou Taofen's "Pingzhong Message". This book made her understand a lot of truths. She longs for a country she loves one day.

In 1938, Yu Lan finally joined the revolution. After several twists and turns, he arrived in Yan'an, the holy land of revolution, in October. In kang da and women's college, she began to learn acting, and her talent was finally discovered, and she became an excellent actor recognized by the audience. In the past few years, Yu Lan has seriously learned from life and good people, while also delving into performing arts and exploring the true meaning of art. In life, she strives to melt the charm and temperament of rural women she captures into her performances, portraying many popular images.

In 1946, Yu Lan began to work in film. After the liberation of the whole country, in 1951 and 1951, she first played the heroine Xiang Wu'er in "Cuigang Red Flag"; later participated in the filming of "Longsugou" and played Cheng Niangzi. Through a series of artistic practices, she has further improved her artistic literacy. In 1954, she went to the Central Academy of Drama to study in the performance training class for two years, and had the opportunity to theoretically sort out her performing arts.

1958 was an important year for Lan, when she created Zhou Lian's artistic image in Revolutionary Family.

That year, she read Tao Cheng's memoir "My Family" and felt familiar with the revolutionary road tao cheng had taken. She very much hopes that she will be able to shape the image of this revolutionary mother. So Yu Lan made a self-recommendation to the director of Shuihua, who had worked with her many times.

Soon, the work was adapted by Xia Yan into the film script "Revolutionary Family". Director Shui Hua, Yu Lan plays the heroine Zhou Lian, and the male lead is Played by Sun Daolin. After Yu Lan received this role, he talked with Tao Chengdun many times and established a deep friendship with her. Sun Daolin is an experienced actor who does things meticulously. The two of them were very harmonious when filming. Yu Lan pays great attention to mobilizing his own life accumulation and working with his opponents to recreate them, so that the characters appear real and believable, flesh and blood. For example, there was such a scene in the original film:

Mei Qing, who was not long married, learned that his wife was pregnant and was overjoyed;

Mei Qing took out a pair of children's shoes to tease Zhou Lian, Zhou shy, and ran away;

Mei Qing chased after Zhou Lian, and the two frolicked under a tree.

After watching this sample film, Yu Lan and Sun Daolin and other comrades were not very satisfied. At that time, Yu Lan and Sun Daolin were both nearly 40 years old, and acting in such a play was somewhat blunt and awkward. Later, Yu Lan recalled that she had seen her father teach her mother to write brush characters in her childhood, and suggested to Shui Hua that the above set of shots should be replaced by "teaching to write brush characters". Yu Lan's speech inspired Shui Hua, and he also told the comrades of the film crew about the situation when his sister taught children to read with a shy and shy demeanor, so the above set of shots was changed to:

Mei Qing held Zhou Lian's hand and taught her to write with a brush;

The latter is shy and joyful;

A close-up of a brush word.

The following shot turns to: Zhou Lian teaches children to write.

Such a set of shots, natural, vivid, and full of life atmosphere, not only shows the intimate relationship between the young couple in a specific era, but also completes the transition of Zhou Lian's character from a young girl to a young woman.

After the filming of "Revolutionary Family" was completed, Yu Lan's fame spread all over the world, and the artistic image of the revolutionary mother she created who grew up under the leadership of the Communist Party of China also penetrated into the hearts of the broad masses. (Li Han)
