Although I have been a journalist for four or five years, I have not been a sports journalist for a long time, and it can be said that I have entered the circle by mistake. The value of sports journalists is undoubtedly the most reflected in large-scale events, so when I learned about the opportunity to participate in the Coverage of the Beijing Winter Olympics, I was extremely excited and proud.
From the initial determination, to the final trip, in the past six months, I can't remember how many emails were sent to the mailbox of the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee, nor how many forms were filled out for the Beijing Winter Olympics, but I only knew that for a long time, as long as I opened my mobile phone, I would subconsciously refresh the mailbox to see if the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee had the latest notice.
When in mid-January 2022, the Organizing Committee of the Winter Olympics announced that the press registration cards were being sent one after another, my feelings of waiting were self-evident. When on January 24, 2022, after my mobile phone received the news that the registration certificate was being delivered, I immediately sent an email delivery, and when I received the precious registration card from him, I was sure at that moment that all this, the dust settled, I really became a registered journalist for the Beijing Winter Olympics. I recorded a video of the license as soon as possible to announce this good news to everyone.
I have to say a small twist here, when the High-speed Rail tickets into Beijing went on sale on February 3rd, I placed an order for the first time, but last Thursday, that is, on January 27, I suddenly received a text message notification that the train was temporarily suspended. Suddenly, the mood became seven or eight, there was no way, only to change the plane. Fortunately, the ticket and the location! I hurried to place an order for a plane ticket, and the tense nerves relaxed and I let out a long breath.
Ski jumping, snowboarding, freestyle skiing, bobsleigh, bobsleigh, snowmobile, speed skating, short track speed skating, figure skating... Although I have written a lot of sports reports in my more than a year as a sports journalist, when I started writing in preparation for the Winter Olympics and getting involved in winter sports, I found that there were too many knowledge blind spots for a Southerner. In the process of writing, I have thought many times, why should we hold such a Winter Olympics? What is the significance of hosting the Winter Olympics?
Luckily, I found the answers to these questions. In the days of preparing for the Winter Olympics, I have contacted many people who work hard for the dream of the Winter Olympics, heard countless stories of fighting for the dream of the Winter Olympics, and I gradually understood that the Winter Olympics is not a simple competition for us, its holding is essentially to give ordinary people a platform to understand ice and snow sports, so that they have the opportunity to participate in ice and snow projects.
