At the end of the second campaign, the volunteer army annihilated 36,000 enemy troops on the east and west fronts, including 24,000 American troops, recaptured Pyongyang, and pushed the front line to the 38th line in one fell swoop, completely reversing the war situation in Korea. My uncle participated in five battles and was awarded the first class merit.
