"History inscribes buried memories,

We look back at you in a thousand years."

"Sleep for thousands of years, wake up and shock the world."

On the evening of January 31, the night of Chinese New Year's Eve, Zhang Guoli and Ran Honglin, director of the Sanxingdui Archaeological Research Institute, displayed the cultural relics unearthed by Samsung on the stage of the Spring Festival Gala of the Year of the Tiger on CCTV, reproducing the style of ancient Shu.

This time, the "new" is the Sanxingdui bronze mask.

It is 131 cm wide, 71 cm high, 66 cm deep and weighs 131 pounds, making it the largest and well-preserved large bronze mask known to have been excavated at the Sanxingdui site.

The Sanxingdui civilization, which is rich in splendid art and culture, shocked the world after rescue excavations in 1986. After a lapse of 34 years, excavations of 6 newly discovered artifact pits in Sanxingdui have been started.

This excavation found many national treasure-level cultural relics.

In the sacrificial pit No. 5, a huge gold mask was found. Although it is only half a sheet, it is brilliant and dazzling.

Sacrificial pit No. 3 is known as the "cornucopia" of the 8 sacrificial pits, which also has a gold mask. This gold mask has hollow eyebrows, rounded ears, high nose bridge, and large and slightly open mouth, which is the most complete gold mask unearthed in sanxingdui archaeological excavations.

In addition, there are bronze-topped figures kneeling, which are composed of the upper part of the bronze statue and the lower part of the portrait.

Pit No. 3 also unearthed a bronze sacred tree, which is believed by many to be the prototype of Fuso in the Classic of Mountains and Seas.

Three bronze kneeling figures were found in the No. 4 sacrifice pit, and archaeologists believe that the kneeling portraits show that there was realistic sculpture art in ancient Shu more than 3,000 years ago.

Recently, the Sanxingdui "blind box" has been newly upgraded, and a bronze dragon tiger "divine beast" with a tiger's head and tiger brain was found in the No. 8 sacrifice pit. This "divine beast" has double horns on its head, a golden-bottomed tabby patterned beast body, and a half-dragon and half-tiger.

Experts said: "Sanxingdui has previously appeared in the shape of a dragon, but this is the first time that it has appeared in this volume and in a circular carving. Now there is still a lot of soil on the surface of the cultural relics that has not been cleaned, and I believe that it will be very gorgeous after cleaning up. ”

Some netizens joked that seeing that the Year of the Tiger was coming, Sanxingdui launched a limited edition of the Year of the Tiger Dragon. Some netizens also said that the mysterious Sanxingdui excavation must be a fine product, which makes people "brain holes" and refresh cognition.

Some netizens said that seeing these cultural relics, I felt touched and futuristic, "historical inscriptions are buried memories, we look back at you after a thousand years."
