For now, this is the cheapest iPhone model that can be purchased directly from Apple at the moment, but the device has been on the market for nearly four and a half years, and we highly recommend considering the iPhone SE 2 in this price range. The April 2020 iPhone SE has 64GB of storage for $399, or $449 for 128GB.

Another better option might be to wait for the iPhone SE 3 phone, which is expected to launch around March or April this year, equipped with an A15 chip and 5G network.

The iPhone 8 has a number of drawbacks, including the fact that the device may stop receiving iOS updates at least a few years before the iPhone SE 2 due to its age. The iPhone SE 2 also has a newer A13 chip, while the iPhone 8 is powered by the A11 chip, and the iPhone SE 2 also has several new features, including portrait mode photos, QuickTake video, Wi-Fi 6, Gigabit LTE, and eSIM/dual CARD.
