In the past 30 years, he has devoted himself to the study, creation and collection of related materials of the famous calligrapher Zhang Yuzhao in the late Qing Dynasty, with remarkable achievements and influence at home and abroad. He is the president of the China Zhang Yuzhao Calligraphy Research Association, and Chen Qizhuang, vice president of the Tangshan New Association and president of the Calligraphy and Painting Institute.
Chen Qizhuang's studio hangs many banners, one of which is the most eye-catching: "Quiet and Pure Movement". There is movement in the stillness, there is stillness in the movement, the mind is in awe, and the work is pure, which is the "four-character policy" that Chen Qizhuang has been following in studying the calligraphy.

As long as he picked up the pen, Chen Qizhuang seemed to have entered a quiet space, sometimes waving ink for four or five hours, he could not eat or drink, did not speak or see people, and was completely immersed in the sea of ink and books. This habit has lasted for nearly 30 years since the day he fell in love with calligraphy, and after studying the calligraphy of Zhang Yuzhao, a famous calligrapher in the late Qing Dynasty, Chen Qizhuang became even more obsessed.
Mr. Zhang Yuzhao is an indispensable and important figure in the history of late Qing calligraphy, whose calligraphy is forged in ancient and modern times, with profound skills, and has created a unique style of calligraphy of "outer square inner circle, stele bone posture", which Kang Youwei called "the great master of the collection of stele". Chen Qizhuang not only fell in love with Zhang Yuzhao's calligraphy, but also wanted to pass on the vein of Zhang Yuzhao's calligraphy.
Through years of study, Chen Qizhuang's calligraphy style is majestic and atmospheric, dynamic and static, and the penmanship, structure, chapter method, shen yun and other aspects have fully presented the characteristics of Zhang Yuzhao's calligraphy stele.
Chen Qizhuang exchanged and read papers at the Zhang Yuzhao International Academic Symposium as a representative of experts and scholars, and was also hired as a judge of the National Zhang Yuzhao School Calligraphy Exhibition for two consecutive years, and successfully organized pen meetings and exhibitions such as the "Seventh China Zhang Yuzhao School Calligraphy Exhibition" as a curator, which received rave reviews. Chen Qizhuang also collected a large number of precious materials, not only a number of authentic calligraphy of Zhang Yuzhao, but also a large number of Lithographed Zhang Font Posters of the Republic of China, which attracted many experts and scholars.
Before the unveiling of the rebuilt Lianchi Academy in Baoding City, the relevant departments specially invited Chen Qizhuang to write a new plaque inscribed "Xuegutang", and in 2014, Beijing held the 22nd Informal Meeting of Leaders of the APEC Summit, the main venue was located in Yanqi Lake, and he was invited to write the inscription of his landmark Building, Yanqi Pagoda. "Idle on the mountain window to view the wild goose pagoda, fine grinding spring rain to write orchid pavilion", Chen Qizhuang uses his pen to clumsily live together, and the calm and elegant and simple atmosphere of Yanqi Lake.
Over the past few years, Chen Qizhuang has opened classes and apprenticeds, and continues to make contributions to the inheritance and promotion of Zhang Yuzhao's calligraphy. Bamboo lanfeng, lanting is not late, Chen Qizhuang's calligraphy career is still continuing.
