"At present, the network access work of the Winter Olympics cable TV special network television program has been completed. Among them, there are more than 20 sets of high-definition competition fact-broadcast channels, covering the event programs and opening and closing ceremony programs of all competition venues, as well as more than 10 sets of programs from domestic media such as the Central Radio and Television Corporation and more than 10 sets of programs from foreign media, which will cover all terminals of the Winter Olympics cable TV special network. The Winter Olympic Cable TV Network is a cable TV network dedicated to serving the Beijing Winter Olympic Games, serving athletes, media reporters and personnel of the International Olympic Committee, the International Paralympic Committee, the International Federation of Individual Sports and other institutions.

"As the official cable TV service provider of the Beijing Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, Gehua Cable and Hebei Radio and Television have built a special cable TV network for the Winter Olympics in strict accordance with the requirements, covering the three competition areas of Beijing and Hebei, and its trunk cable has a total length of 505.3 kilometers." Zhou Xin, head of the Gehua Cable Cable TV Private Network Project, introduced that the Winter Olympic Cable TV Private Network will build about 4,000 cable TV terminals in 32 venues and venue groups, including all the competition venues of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games and the opening and closing ceremonies, the Winter Olympic Village, the Awards Plaza and other important non-competition venues. Gehua Cable is responsible for the construction of a total of 23 venues in Beijing and Yanqing, 8 of which are competition venues and 15 are non-competition venues.

According to the needs of the Winter Olympic Organizing Committee, the Winter Olympic Cable TV Private Network will also provide "venue local signal services" in the venues of the competition and the opening and closing ceremonies. In the Beijing Winter Olympics, Gehua Cable adopted the "digital low latency live broadcast" technology, through the ultra-low latency encoding and decoding technology to achieve digital low latency transmission, in a digital way to provide lower latency, higher definition video services, live broadcast delay time of no more than 350 milliseconds, live TV screen and the event almost synchronous.

In addition, the Winter Olympic Cable TV Private Network will provide a re-viewing service for the event programs provided by the International Olympic Broadcasting Corporation during the competition.
