All tv program signals on the cable TV special network for the Winter Olympics were opened

As the official cable TV service provider of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, on January 23, Gehua Cable has completed the network access to the Network of the Winter Olympic Cable TV Special Network TV program, the "Event Multi-channel Service".

The "Multi-channel Service for Events" covers all terminals of the Winter Olympics cable TV private network, including more than 20 sets of high-definition competition fact-broadcast programs, in addition to the event programs and opening and closing ceremony programs of all competition venues, there are more than 10 sets of programs from domestic media such as the Central Radio and Television Corporation and more than 10 sets of programs from overseas media. The TV interface design takes the theme of "pure ice and snow" to achieve a pure and simple style, so that friends from all over the world can enjoy high-quality cable TV services.

According to the needs of the Winter Olympic Organizing Committee, in addition to the multi-channel service of the Event, the Winter Olympic Cable TV Private Network will also provide "venue local signal service" in the venues of the competition and the opening and closing ceremonies (national stadium). In previous Olympic Games, the organizing committee needed to provide athletes, staff and media reporters with local ultra-low delay live broadcast signal services. In previous Winter Olympics, analog television technology was used, so the video definition was poor. In this Winter Olympics, Gehua Cable adopted the "digital low latency live broadcast" technology to provide video services with lower latency and higher definition in a digital manner, with a live delay of no more than 350 milliseconds, and the live TV screen was almost synchronized with the event.

In addition, during the competition, the private network will also provide event on demand (GVOD) services for the event programs provided by the International Olympic Broadcasting Corporation, that is, the event program review service. (The scope of service is the designated terminal of the Winter Olympic Village.) In addition to the "digital low-latency live broadcast" technology for media reporters located in the museum, Gehua Cable also provides "wireless CATV" services in the designated area of the Shougang Big Jumping Platform Venue, and staff can watch the game on mobile terminals such as notebooks and tablets. This technology created the first time in the history of the Winter Olympics to watch cable TV wirelessly.

The Winter Olympic cable TV private network covers the three competition areas of Beijing and Hebei, and its trunk optical cable has a total length of 505.3 kilometers. Gehua Cable is responsible for the Beijing and Yanqing divisions, including a total of 23 venues, including 8 competition venues and 15 non-competition venues. In order to improve network security, the Winter Olympics private network has set up four front-end sources, which are arranged in Beijing, Yanqing and Chongli. At the same time, about 4,000 cable TV terminals will be built in 32 venues and venue groups, including all competition venues of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games and the opening and closing ceremonies, the Winter Olympic Village, the Awards Plaza and other important non-competition venues.
