Suzhou, January 27 (China News Network) -- Old bamboo chairs are inserted with weeping branches and plums on the "plum" tips; several holes are drilled into the bamboo tubes of the bamboo table to inject clear water, which is transformed into a hydroponic container while retaining the function of the table, and different plantings are matched according to different seasons; several old buckets are strung together with bamboo poles from large to small to make an installation art that means "high and high"... As the new year draws to a close, Qi Yun, an artist from Taiwan who is living aesthetics, is busy arranging in the West Hall of the Suzhou Museum, ready to bring visitors a unique New Year's flavor.

Qi Yun introduced that his father is from Guangzhou, and his mother is from Tangshan. From a young age, you can feel the similarities and differences in the life of parents from one south and one north. In his view, this similarity and difference is also reflected in the culture of the two sides of the strait. The foundation of traditional Chinese culture is the same, but because of regional diversity, culture is created. "Both the South and the North have a small Year, but not on the same day; Suzhou and Taiwan will thank the god Vesta, but the offerings on it are different. The diversity of cultures is rich and wonderful, and each regional culture is worth learning, which is the most interesting place of Chinese culture. ”

It is precisely because of the cultural affinity between the two sides of the strait that Qi Yun said that the aesthetics of life he brought from Taiwan have played well on the mainland, and the acceptance of all walks of life is also very high. Previously, Qi Yun has successively created the "Spring Color of Stopping Clouds - Life Festival Decoration Exhibition" and "Suzhou Solar Terms Life Aesthetics Special Exhibition - Dragon Boat Festival" Special Exhibition of Festival Life in Suzhou Museum, which have been well received. With the theme of "Drama Spring", this "Drama Spring - Life Aesthetics Exhibition" uses old-fashioned utensils with planting, and unique floral installations in public spaces, exploring the integration between flower paths and utensils, and constructing a solar terms scenery in modern life.

For the design of the blossoming of old "things" in this exhibition, Qi Yun explained: "The main role of the museum is to inherit the past and the future, leave behind the wisdom of the predecessors, and at the same time encourage young people to apply what they have learned and combine the old wisdom with the present. That's why I want to reinvent the old artifacts with modern aesthetic concepts, so that everyone can experience that history has left us not only an object, but a new inspiration. ”

Qi Yun said that this year's Spring Festival, he still chose to spend it in the mainland. He hopes to continue to feel the flow of the four hours on the mainland, discover new traditional folklore, and bring himself a steady stream of aesthetic thinking based on Chinese culture. (End)
