In 2013, Shu Yong represented the National Pavilion of China with "Ancient Song Bricks" to participate in the Venice Biennale, which is known as the "Olympics" of the art world. This is Shu Yong's large-scale installation art of presenting the obstacle between the East and the West with the concept of "wall", which resonated widely in the international community at that time.

"The Golden Bridge of the Silk Road" was exhibited in Guangzhou

After that, he was thinking about how to break the wall, and after the "Belt and Road" was proposed, Shu Yong believed that it was a bridge for peaceful development that broke down various obstacles between countries and nations. So the idea of the Silk Road Golden Bridge was born, "with brick as an element, make a bridge", at the end of 2013, opened the creation of the "Silk Road Golden Bridge" sculpture, as a cultural symbol of the Belt and Road, "Silk Road Golden Bridge" to China's oldest "Zhao Zhou Bridge" as the shape, integrated into the national flowers of the world, with amber as the medium, Bogu Tong is now connected inside and outside, with an international artistic language, conveying the values of building a community of human destiny where the fate of mankind is closely related and The Chinese and the world are closely linked. It was first exhibited at the Milan World Expo in 2015, and has since been used as a core theme landscape at two high-level Chinese events such as the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, the First Conference on Dialogue of Asian Civilizations, the Service Trade Fair, and the Centenary Celebration of the Founding of the Communist Party of China.

At the end of 2021, the "Reading China" International Conference was held in Guangzhou, using "Silk Road Golden Bridge" as the visual image logo of "Understanding China", and blending with Guangzhou's landmark Canton Tower to form a new era landscape with Chinese characteristics and world significance.

At the beginning of the epidemic in 2020, Shu Yong created an ink painting every day, using a daily painting to pay tribute to the heroes of the "epidemic", and it has never stopped until now. He hopes to create a series of vivid images with historical symbolism through one painting per day to construct the value system of China's anti-epidemic spirit, and thus reflect on the natural, social and human roots of the disaster. At present, all works are donated to the China Peace and Development Foundation and a public welfare fund is established. By the end of December 2021, the cumulative number of visitors to the national tour exhibition reached 10 million. In the future, it is planned to be exhibited in New York, Paris and other world-renowned cities to tell the "Chinese story" of fighting the epidemic worldwide.
