At the beginning of May 1968, the southwest of Mancheng County, Hebei Province, 1. 5 kilometers away, in Lingshan Mountain, an ancient tomb was found in a construction project here by a certain unit of the People's Liberation Army. Archaeologists immediately rushed to the scene after hearing about it, and named the tomb "Tomb No. 1 of the Mancheng Han Tomb". With the gradual deepening of the investigation and cleaning work, the overall shape of Tomb No. 1 has gradually become clear. The burial chamber is composed of six parts: the tomb passage, the south ear chamber, the north ear chamber, the middle chamber and the back chamber, just like an ancient " character.

Liu Sheng's tomb is very luxurious, the front room is a carriage and horse pit, the middle room is a hall, and the back chamber tomb door also has a copper mechanism that locks the door. The hall is a bedroom, with a low kang, a dwarf on the kang, a copper lamp on the top, and a master's sword at the end. At the other end of the hall, there is a white jade coffin bed, where the coffin of the owner of the tomb is placed. However, the floor of the back chamber is covered with thick grass and wood ash. When the grass and wood ash were cleaned up, the archaeologists found that the burial goods here were more abundant, and no one thought that when all the decaying wood ash and metal ornaments piled up on it were cleaned up, an armor-like thing with gold wire and jade pieces appeared in front of people's eyes.

Everyone couldn't help but cheer, because in front of them was the "golden jade clothes" of the Han Dynasty. However, when cleaning up the funerary items around the jade coat, it was found that there were more than sixty golden beans on the east side of the jade coat, which made the archaeologists present quite confused. Why are more than sixty golden beans placed in particular? Later, the expert gave an answer, he said that a golden bean represents one year old, and there are sixty golden beans around the jade coat, so Liu Sheng probably lived for sixty years.

Subsequently, the second question also came, there were no bones found under the jade clothes, and there was nothing. Liu Sheng wouldn't just bury one piece of jade robe, right? How can there be no bones? Was Liu Sheng really reincarnated and reborn?

On August 13, 1968, the original team of archaeologists began excavations on the north side of Tomb No. 1. Soon a second mausoleum appeared, which was the "Mancheng Han Tomb No. 2 Tomb". A copper seal was found in a tin box in the back room of Tomb No. 2. This seal is square, with a hole in the middle, called the "string belt" seal, the front is the word "Dou Xuan", and the back is the word "Junsu". Based on this, experts further speculated that Dou Xuan should be Liu Sheng's wife, the queen of Zhongshan. When the archaeologists cleaned up Dou Xuan's jade clothes, they found that inside the jade clothes were the cervical vertebrae and four ribs of the tomb owner, as well as three teeth, and it seemed that the owner of Tomb No. 2 was buried in a jade robe, but the bones had already decayed to the point of decay.

This further aggravates people's questions: Why is there no bone of Liu Sheng in tomb No. 1?

The experts tried to open Liu Sheng's jade coat and found that there were some jujube mud-like things inside, and there were even some teeth.

Experts deduced that Liu Sheng's bones were inside the jade coat, but they had decayed into ashes. Originally, Liu Sheng adopted the form of thick burial, and the burial products were very rich, while the remains of animals and a large amount of funerary wine increased the organic matter in the burial chamber, resulting in the corpse being easily decomposed. It seems that liu sheng and others think that the method of preserving the immortality of the flesh with golden jade clothes is too wishful thinking.
