Rosberg: Hamilton said Bottas was the best teammate I did wrong?

Lewis Hamilton called Walteri Bottas his best teammate, and his former teammate Nico Rosberg responded.

Rosberg was the founder of the revived Mercedes team, and in the 2010-2012 season he formed the team lineup with Michael Schumacher. Schumacher retired from F1 again at the end of the 2012 season, clearing the way for Hamilton's arrival. By 2014, when Mercedes reached the top of Formula 1, the fierce rivalry between Hamilton and Rosberg began, which lasted for years. In 2016, Rosberg defeated Hamilton to win his only world title and retired shortly after.

Since then, Bottas has joined Mercedes for a much calmer five-year race with the team with Hamilton, who claims the Finn is his best teammate.

After news of Bottas' 2022 move to Alpha Romeo was confirmed, Hamilton wrote in a social media post that Bottas "is the best teammate I've ever had the pleasure of working with."

So when asked about comments on this, Rosberg joked: "No, I think it's a lack of respect, I mean what am I doing wrong?" ”

Rosberg went on to explain that Bottas did create a very healthy atmosphere with Hamilton during his time at Mercedes, which was not the case when they were team-mates.

Asked what Bottas did for the Mercedes team, Rosberg replied: "In the race for the constructors' championship, yes, absolutely, for five years it has created a very good atmosphere in the team, a very healthy atmosphere, which is different from my time, which gives Mercedes a good strength, so Mercedes is the constructors overall champion and Valtelli does a lot better than Sergio Perez, so he deserves praise. ”
