"Garden Painting Realm" Three Mountains and Five Gardens Theme Calligraphy and Painting Creation Exhibition opened in the Summer Palace Dehe Garden

People's Daily Beijing, January 24 (Chi Mengrui) On the afternoon of January 23, the "Garden Painting Realm" - The Three Mountains and Five Gardens Theme Calligraphy and Painting Creation Exhibition opened in the Summer Palace Dehe Garden. The exhibition is guided by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Cultural Heritage and the Beijing Municipal Park Management Center, and jointly sponsored by the Beijing Summer Palace Administration Office and the Propaganda Department of the Beijing Haidian District Committee of the Communist Party of China.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Qin Lei, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the Summer Palace Administration, Chen Mingjie, director of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Cultural Relics, Zhang Yahong, deputy director of the Beijing Municipal Park Management Center, Huang Ying, executive deputy director of the Propaganda Department of the Haidian District CPC Committee, Yang Hua, director of the Summer Palace, and Tang Jinnan, executive deputy director of the Propaganda Department of the Party Committee of Peking University, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches at the opening ceremony.

Jointly curated by the Summer Palace and the Art Network team, this exhibition presents the latest creative achievements of 29 artists in the Summer Palace, with a total of 45 paintings and 2 groups of jade carving works, which are brilliantly presented in the form of painting art, and the magnificent momentum and exquisite artistic achievements of the royal garden represented by the Summer Palace are extremely expressive, and the guests and audiences have received unanimous praise.

The Three Mountains and Five Gardens are a collective term for the cultural heritage of various historical periods located in the northwest suburbs of Beijing, represented by the Royal Gardens of the Qing Dynasty. The three mountains refer to Xiangshan Mountain, Yuquan Mountain and Wanshou Mountain, and the Five Gardens refer to Jingyi Garden, Jingmingyuan, Summer Palace, Yuanmingyuan and Changchun Garden. Sanshan Five Gardens was listed as the first batch of national cultural relics protection and utilization demonstration areas, marking a new stage in the effective protection and rational utilization of the cultural heritage of Sanshan Five Gardens.

This year is the year of the Winter Olympics, and it is also a key year for the construction of the National Cultural Relics Protection and Utilization Demonstration Zone of the Three Mountains and Five Gardens. In order to welcome the Winter Olympic Games and enrich the cultural life of the citizens of the capital and Chinese and foreign tourists during the Spring Festival, the Propaganda Department of the Haidian District Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Beijing Summer Palace Management Office jointly planned and launched the "Garden Painting Realm - Three Mountains and Five Gardens Theme Calligraphy and Painting Creation Exhibition", organized artists in Haidian District to create around the theme of "Three Mountains and Five Gardens, and through the form of modern painting art creation, give play to and disseminate the historical and cultural value of the rich classical gardens and red patriotic education resources in the Three Mountains and Five Gardens area. It shows the charm of the new era of excellent Chinese traditional culture represented by the Three Mountains and Five Gardens.

It is reported that this exhibition will be on display until April 17, 2022.
