In 1932, in order to strengthen control over the northeast, the Japanese established the puppet state of Manchukuo in the northeast, administered by Puyi, the last emperor of the Qing Dynasty, and soon after, Japan invited Zhang Jinghui, and since then, he has become the prime minister of the puppet manchukuo and the "number two person" in the northeast.

When Zhang Jinghui learned of this, he immediately sent someone to search for him, and finally arrested Zhang Mengshi back at the Border between China and North Korea and put him under "house arrest."
Just when Zhang Mengshi was confused, the appearance of a person confirmed his life direction, that is, Zhang Shaowei, Zhang Mengshi's cousin.
Zhang Shaowei is 6 years older than Zhang Mengshi, who has studied in Japan since childhood, and is a typical progressive youth. When he learned of Zhang Mengshi's domestic experience, Zhang Shaowei wrote a letter to Zhang Mengshi, inviting him to study in Japan and accept the baptism of new ideas.

At first, Zhang Jinghui did not agree to Zhang Mengshi going to Japan alone, and Zhang Mengshi fought fruitlessly and could only threaten to go on hunger strike. In desperation, Zhang Jinghui could only agree to Zhang Mengshi's request to stay in Japan.
In 1940, Zhang Mengshi went to Japan and began a new life. He entered Waseda University and studied law. Under the influence of his cousin, Zhang Mengshi began to read a large number of Marxist-Leninist works and gained a better understanding of red thought.
Later, when Zhang Mengshi learned that his cousin was a member of the "New Knowledge Research Society," he became extremely interested in this organization, and this so-called "New Knowledge Research Society" was the Northeast Intelligence Organization led by the Communist Party. In this way, Zhang Mengshi joined the "Northeast Youth Salvation Association for Staying in Japan" and began to participate in communist work. This also means that Zhang Mengshi has completely broken with his former family.
In 1941, Zhang Mengshi received orders from his superiors to find out the japanese battle plan as soon as possible. It turned out that after the outbreak of the Soviet-German War, Germany had invaded the Soviet Union. As an ally of Germany, Japan's attitude was the basis for the Soviet Union's next course of operations.
Although japan would not invade the Soviet Union according to the regulations, Stalin was troubled by this and placed a large number of troops in the Far East, while the Soviet Union was weak and the situation was already precarious.
Zhang Jinghui is Japan's agent in China, and naturally knows Japan's next move. After receiving orders from his superiors, Zhang Mengshi sneaked into Zhang Jinghui's study, looked through the confidential documents involving the Japanese army, and determined the next battle plan of the Japanese army.
Later, Zhang Mengshi reported to his superiors that the next target of the Japanese army was not the Soviet Union.
The information provided by Zhang Mengshi was rushed to the Soviet Union, and a week later, Stalin mobilized Soviet troops from the Far East to Europe, successfully repelled the enemy army, and held Moscow.

After going to Japan, Zhang Mengshi's life was busy and the revolutionary situation was difficult, but he could not let go of his concern for Dajun. Zhang Mengshi often corresponded with Dajun, and it was at that time that Zhang Mengshi gave Dajun a new name: Xu Ming, meaning Xu Guangming. Although the two are thousands of miles apart, their feelings have never changed.
In 1942, Zhang Mengshi returned to China to visit his relatives, and his mother arranged a marriage for him. Forced to be helpless, Zhang Mengshi could only put out his feelings and discussion with Xu Ming, emphasizing that he did not marry Xu Ming.
Zhang Mengshi's mother was furious when she heard about this and resolutely opposed the marriage between the two. In order to cut off the love affair between the two, Zhang Mengshi's mother released a cruel word: "It's not okay at all, you don't have to think, I can't do it, and your father can't do it." ”
In desperation, Zhang Mengshi could only overcome his father's difficulties first. At the same time, with the help of Zhang Jinghui, Zhang Mengshi successfully broke into the upper class of puppet Manchukuo, met many famous people in the political and business circles, and obtained a lot of valuable information.
Zhang Mengshi wrote the intelligence behind Zhang Jinghui's photo with rice soup, and after our party got the photo, it could make the information appear as long as it used a red potion.
No one expected that the message enough to deliver a fatal blow to the Japanese army would be personally delivered by the son of the prime minister of Manchukuo.
At the same time, Zhang Mengshi also undertook the task of helping the Party Central Committee raise funds. The War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression entered a critical period, the Party Central Committee was in financial difficulties, and Zhang Mengshi went around raising funds, and indeed found a good opportunity.
At that time, businessman Li Shuangzhen bought a Japanese company and planned to run it independently. The construction of the factory in the northeast must seek the consent of the puppet state of Manchukuo, so Li Shuangzhen sought Zhang Mengshi's help.
Zhang Mengshi thought about it and decided to join the shares. After organizational arrangement, Zhang Mengshi became the president of the factory, and he successfully obtained all the legal procedures of the factory with the convenience of his position.
After the factory was officially put into operation, Zhang Mengshi's monthly salary was 1500 counterfeit coins, and he retained a small part of it for living, and the rest of the income was handed over to the party organization to solve the urgent need.
In the later period of the War of Resistance Against Japan, inflation was severe, and the prices of materials sold on the market were extremely high. Together with members of our party, Zhang Mengshi transported factory-made paper to the black market for sale, from which he made a huge profit. With the financial support provided by Zhang Mengshi, the shortage of funds in our party has also been alleviated.
In 1945, Japan announced its unconditional surrender, and the puppet state of Manchukuo collapsed. The name Mengshi is Zhang Mengshi's new beginning, which means "dream realization".
Zhang Mengshi originally thought that he was about to return to the organization, and his heart was full of expectations, but he once again received the task of the organization: to continue to lurk. Yes, Zhang Mengshi stayed by Zhang Jinghui's side and continued to collect intelligence.
At the same time, the Kuomintang secretly colluded with important figures in the northeast to try to counter the Soviet army and the Chinese Communist Party. Zhang Mengshi contacted the Soviet army and provided them with intelligence.
The Soviet Union was skeptical of this, and Zhang Mengshi confidently said: "I voluntarily provide intelligence to the Soviet army, and if it is not true, I am willing to accept military punishment and shoot." With the help of Zhang Mengshi, the Soviet army handled the problems left over from the northeast with ease.
After the Japanese fled, Zhang Jinghui and other important figures in puppet Manchukuo were terrified and planned to escape. Zhang Mengshi urgently spread the news to the Soviet Union, which quickly sent troops to arrest a large number of people. On August 30, Zhang Mengshi was imprisoned in a Soviet prison along with other puppet Manchukuo executives.
The Soviet Union drove straight in, and almost effortlessly arrested Puyi, Zhang Jinghui and others, and Zhang Mengshi was the number one hero. In a sense, Zhang Mengshi personally arrested his father and put him in prison.
Later, recalling this incident, Zhang Mengshi was still very conflicted, as he said: "One is a father, a family and a great righteousness, my father is a traitor, should be judged by the people, not go unpunished." ”
Zhang Mengshi did not expect to be arranged by the Soviet army to go with him, and when he left, he was in a hurry, and his family did not know where he was.
Since then, Zhang Mengshi has accompanied Puyi in the Soviet prison and spent a full 5 years.
While Zhang Mengshi was serving a sentence in the Soviet Union, Xu Ming raised two children alone and under great pressure. In the eyes of the uninformed, Xu Ming is a "traitor" woman, and because of this, Xu Ming and his children have always borne the malice from all sides. In order to support himself and his children, Xu Ming worked as a nanny and set up a stall, almost suffering.
Everyone also advised Xu Ming that Zhang Mengshi would never come back, so it was better to remarry and live a new life. Xu Ming just shook her head, she always firmly believed: Zhang Mengshi will always come back. In the hope day after day, Xu Ming finally waited for the light.
In 1950, when China's domestic environment stabilized, the Soviet Union returned the former puppet Manchukuo war criminals to China. When writing a resume on repatriation for war criminals, Zhang Mengshi made his identity public: he was a red agent.
Knowing that he was about to return to China, Zhang Mengshi was overjoyed. As for Emperor Puyi, he fell into endless fear. Because of his special status, Zhang Mengshi and 200 other war criminals returned to China first.
Soon after, Puyi heard rumors that all 200 people who returned to China first had been killed. Puyi felt that he would undoubtedly die, and he had always been very resistant to returning to China. After being escorted to the Ministry of Public Security in the northeast of Shenyang, Puyi was even more shocked after seeing Zhang Mengshi.

For many years, Zhang Mengshi has kept his identity strictly confidential, until the founding of New China, Puyi did not think that his most trusted "Xiao Zhang" was actually a red spy of our party.
After returning to China, Zhang Mengshi became a cadre of the Fushun War Criminals Management Center and continued to contribute to the construction of new China. Unfortunately, when it comes to his father, Zhang Mengshi still feels guilty.
In 1959, Zhang Jinghui died, and Zhang Mengshi saw his father's file. One of them is: "Thank you for the government's leniency towards yourself, and thank the government for giving its sons and nephews a way out." The son and nephew mentioned here are actually his son Zhang Mengshi and his cousin Zhang Shaowei.
