Zhang Chao said that this morning, he saw someone in the circle of friends basking in snow, at first he did not think about whether he could shoot it, but when he walked out of the house, he found that the snow was not small. As a snowflake obsessed enthusiast, he immediately found a microscope and went downstairs with a camera and flashlight to capture the shape of snowflakes.
"It was almost eight o'clock this morning, and the ambient temperature was about minus 5 degrees." What pleased him was that the shape of the snowflakes was quite beautiful, and some single snowflakes could be as large as the diameter of about 5 millimeters, and the structure was relatively complex and there were many types.
Zhang Chao has 15 years of experience in snowflake microscopy, and he will shoot snowflakes every winter, as little as once, as many as three or five times, as if completing a task. He said that the motivation for perseverance is the word "hobby", and if you don't shoot it, you will feel that this winter is the same as if it had never been.
But even with his rich experience in shooting snowflakes, he still can't help but sigh: "The snow in Beijing in early 2022 is too beautiful, and the beauty is visible to the naked eye."
