Case statement: Renting a bank card to help net crimes accounted for was sentenced to eight months in prison

  Recently, the Xihu District People's Court of Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province, concluded a case of aiding information network criminal activities in accordance with the law, and the court ruled: Defendant Zou Mou committed the crime of aiding information network criminal activities and sentenced him to eight months in prison and a fine of 10,000 yuan.

  After trial, it was ascertained that on July 4, 2021, Zou mou was introduced by Cheng mou to apply for a bank card in the Xihu District of Nanchang City, and then rented 4 bank accounts and 1 WeChat account to Wang mou for information network illegal crimes, and Zou made a profit of 1888 yuan. After investigation, the total amount recorded in his above-mentioned bank accounts totaled 253,132 yuan, of which Liu and eleven others were defrauded by others using the information network for a total of 199,395 yuan.

  On July 10, 2021, Zou was arrested and arrested; the next day, Zou assisted the public security organs in capturing Cheng.

  The court held that defendant Zou was convicted of the crime of aiding information network criminal activities. In view of the fact that he had sentencing circumstances such as admitting guilt and accepting punishment, confessing, and making meritorious service, the above-mentioned judgment was made accordingly in accordance with law.
