"Today's WeChat and other network user groups are very large, the speed of dissemination of content is very fast, the quality of communication is difficult to control, the masses are prone to blindly pay attention to health, lack of discernment awareness, and there is still chaos in online medicine." Professor Di Wen noted that the general demand for social health care, family health care and self-care is strong, but the corresponding "supply" is insufficient, and the form of science popularization is not deep enough, and it is urgent to improve the level of medical science popularization through all media and channels.
As a surgical expert, in recent years, Professor Devon has paid great attention to the popularization of medical science and its "prevention" value. In the 2021 "Shanghai Science Popularization Education Innovation Award", the science popularization project "Science Popularization Education Project Based on the Reproductive Health of Women's Whole Life Cycle" led by Professor Di Wen won the first prize of the "Science Popularization Contribution Award (Individual)".
"Cervical cancer is one of the common malignant tumors in women, with more than 130,000 new cases in the mainland, but due to a series of effective measures taken by the mainland government in recent years to publicize the importance of cervical screening through multiple channels, cervical cancer prevention has shifted from doctors' behavior to the government's or society's common behavior with doctors, so that the incidence and mortality of cervical cancer have decreased year by year." For example, there are many apps on the market that record menstruation, record pregnant women's pregnancy and postpartum rehabilitation, but the content quality is uneven or even wrong, and there are many "commodity pushes" mixed in, which is easy to mislead.
As the basis for the authoritative transmission of health knowledge, Professor Di Wen said that it is necessary to build a more perfect and diverse medical science popularization system, increase the training of professional talents, encourage the development of community medical science popularization organizations, and use multimedia channels to open online and offline popular science products and scenes. During this period, as the "main front" of science popularization, hospitals should further standardize and improve the medical science popularization information database.
"Nowadays, almost all hospitals and most departments have their own public accounts and WeChat platforms, but the quality is uneven. At the hospital level, it should shoulder the responsibility of guidance and management, encourage all departments in the hospital to hang and post the prevention and treatment of common diseases and multiple diseases in the corridors and wards of the clinic, and push the medical science knowledge that the masses like to hear on the public platform to improve the effectiveness and interaction of medical science. Professor Di Wen said that the hospital needs to undertake the heavy responsibility of "grasping both medical services and medical science", integrate science popularization into hospital development planning, title review mechanism, and comprehensive quality evaluation of medical care, encourage popular science writing, and let the knowledge and skills of professional doctors contribute to society to a greater extent.
